Harriott dispossesses a Udders player with a challenge, but limps away.

Does this mean that Smith has scored more goals in his first game for Swindon than Sordell has in the entire seson?

    Full time 0-1 :)

Sounds like a bit of daylight robbery given all the chances Huddersfield had, but we took our chance and that's what matters. Revenge for last season's FA Cup defeat I suppose.

Look forward to hearing from those who were there.

Only problem is that we are now in the bottom 3 after Donny drew today :(

Had we lost this board would have been full of posters saying they are glad we are out of it, distraction from our relegation battle, etc, etc. Why are they not posting now bemoaning our win?

Also had Atwell failed to give a Huddersfield player a red for a reckless and injuring tackle like Stephens' we would be blasting him on here.

    Hypocrites, or what?

My own view is that the boost to our morale is worth the distraction, and always the chance of a money-spinner next round. Glad we rested Kermit though. We must get a result on Tuesday.

As to referees, I think there is too much going on in the modern game for them to cope, and too much pressure from the media and authorities. I do think it evens out over 46 plus matches and I don't believe any of them are biased. But there have been some shocking decisions lately in big matches, many from linesmen who have far less excuse.

I'm always surprisingly optimistic, and never seen Charlton at Wembley, think 2 games away now, yeah of course would rather stay up, but woul love a trip to Wembley thus I am very happy with it being a win.
Kermit, bit worried if rumours are true that we may well sell him.
But yeah, onwards and upwards lads

Great win, cannot replace that winning feeling and confidence gained from this.

Each and every rumour i hear about players leaving is so frustrating. Are they all true ? We have solly crocked, Stephens being sold, Kermo being sold, Cousins/Poyet in the rumour mill........... and STILL nothing at all coming in. Now we sit in the bottom three, why oh why are their absolutely no announcements or any comments from our new owner ?

Let's take the win over Huddersfield and propel it with a signing or two and announcement of player retention. Someone, anyone ?!?!

If we'd lost, I'd have been sad, but not suprised, but suddenly we're in the fifth round. I posted before the cup match against Hudders last year I did'nt quite understand the apathy as it was an opportunity to progress, and we lost in front of a miniscule crowd. Now we're through, so regardless of the draw (Wigan away for example) I hope we take it a bit seriously. Hey, in one week, we've gone from round 3 pretenders to round five guaranteed, so let's hope we take the optimism to Donny. Lets go on a cup run AND avoid relegation. We've got the Asteroid now.
