Ross will go that's for sure he will probably double his money and play once or twice .He has put his house up for sale again presumably the sale fell through its now how much will we get I think £4m and when you think we bought him for 250k a nice little earner for that's what its ALL ABoUT MONEY They can talk as much as they like but he will go and I think they will regret no getting Wells now Vaz Te will he put the effort in NO stick to getting in Young talent and blending them in for next season because this ones finished Ings and the boy from Scunthorpe for a start
Which long-term Leeds manager walked for a better offer, in your opinion, of course? Jock Stein in 1970-something?
The shammers have now completed the signing of their number one target Borriello. The deal was indoubt yesterday, got to wonder did they just use Ross as a bluff to push the deal through? If Ross put the house on the market because he wanted out then shame on him. Ell how many times would an estate agent put a house in the market if the vendors keeps changing their mind?
I've not seen anything about McD getting a "better offer". Prior to today you were talking about him getting shoved out. But I do agree, if a Prem club comes along and offers McD the role, I would be surprised if he didn't take it
Two new forwards now on the way to West Ham. So less likely he'll go there. But we've all known that a PL side with x million to spend to help them stay in the PL will be a problem for us. The question is, define x in x million, and will the Board keep saying no, as BMD wouldn't have tie to find a suitable replacement? I think the x has to be at least 8m given Ross's status within the club. But I also think the Board might reject all offers as we're not yet out of the playoff race AND BMD would find it nigh on impossible to replce Ross in this window. Let's hope I'm right.
Never mind hoping, what proof do you have for suggesting £8mill? They told WHU if they offered £5mill they could have him if Phil hay is to be believed.
Glory, 8m is what I think is the minimum Leeds should accept. Having said that, two forwards have now gone to West Ham. So they are unlikely to increase their offer. They might do. But why would Ross agree personal terms when he wouldn't be a guaranteed starter at a time when he's trying to get into the Scotland squad, and therefore needs regular footy?
Fair enough Glory. One of the things that will show the club has moved on from the Bates era is that when those in charge say publicly that ""...as a club, we've shown our intentions...", they back it up by continuing to reject all but the silliest of bids (8 to 10m plus)
Boggers - do you really think its progress by just keeping players? You are currently in free-fall, your manager seems to have lost the plot, your owners seem to be blocking any more signings - your takeovers are more humorous than Del Boy and Rodney, and the voice of the fans would need 2 seats on the board - you may have moved on, but do you think its progress?
please log in to view this image Ben Jacobs ‏@JacobsBen4h West Ham are to up their bid for @Rossmccormack44. Leeds United rejected a 3.5m bid. I understand an offer just shy of 5m will be tabled R
I am not sure I can be trusted with any form of direct contact with Haigh, smileysalad, or Cooperman. It's polite so far, but with each tweet Haigh makes the sap rises. I read his utterances this morning as a lot less certain than previous ones, You?
I'm just waiting for you to go off on one on twitter. We should run a book, how long it will take for you to lose it, and go off on one...
I know you were a neighbour of McCormacks Leeds60, you do have a rightmove lead to Ross property? Or the postcode?
Okay, scenario reads as follows: West Ham table a bid of £5m. Maybe the board accept, maybe they don't. The problem for Ross is that he wants to be in the Scotland squad. To do that, he needs to be playing regularly. Would he be playing at least 3 weeks out of 4 given the number of forwards West Ham now have (at least 1 more having just signed on loan)? For the above reason, I'm not sure McCormack would actually want to leave Leeds. I'm also not entirely convinced that a 5m bid would be enough to prize Ross away. We're still in the hunt for top 6. So why sell our best player for a short term profit?
Boggers - McD probably been told he needs to sell before he can buy. But if we sell before the club is sold, it's unclear where the money from the player sale goes. £5m is likely to be impossible for the club to turn down.
