I would also rest gerrard... the rest can suck it up for everton... gerrard just can't

sturridge only played his first game in months so... i think magic probably has it close to what should happen... i say close as in my mind jones shouldn't get within 50 feet of the pitch but rodgers would.

Hopefully, we get to see Ibe today. Love watching that boy play. Such a talent. <ok>

    P.S. No injuries. That's vital.

Hope we see Flanno and Kelly and keep Cissoko on the bench, or bus if possible.

play Cissokho. His fitness record is better. Dont risk both right backs ahead of the Derby.

I probably agree... cissohko has looked leggy in the league matches over christmas or in other words like a 60 year old chasing back so maybe drop him until everton..

but... how right is flanagan... probably better to learn that now v bournemouth rather than everton.

ibe and sama make the bench... alberto one half of ball v oldham has hurt his chances

gerrard to be leggy v everton but obviously without allen gerrard had no options

If we are 3 goals clear at half time we will save Gerrard and two others for the 2nd half. My worry is if it is a dogfight to the end then the team will be knackered for the Derby, and we will probably hold our own until the last 20 mins when tiredness will kick in and EFC will roll us over.

I am praying for a couple of early goals to deflate Bournemouth, but not holding my breath.

This won't be one were we race away, our cup form has been, lets be completely honest, ****e. We got past Oldham last time after a torrid first half but came close to doing what we did last year. Only better quality across the pitch saved us. Hopefully that's the case today but I can see it being a long game with few goals in it and probably could end up 1-1. On the plus side Rodgers seems to learn from his mistakes and is starting with almost the strongest 11 available, depends who turns up really.
