Sheldon wheres your vision do you still believe ? I believe we now have a long term manager looking for long term strategies, and owners who also have that long-term outlook. Our only issue is whether we can keep hold of the good players we will undoubtedly blood or buy in the medium term. Keep a longer term focus on this one guys, I believe our destiny awaits, and it will only be scuppered by short-termism.
Trouble is Mighty, if that "long term manager" gets a better offer, and these.. erm.. good players you hope to get start getting noticed they'll be off like a shot, because mate, you're not a big enough club for players with ambition, the big clubs will just cherry pick your good players, if you ever get any that is, and if Olly the Wally does start doing a good job he be off when the next big job becomes available
Olof nice story m8 but that was Sheldons post from last year about his vision for Leeds i was asking him if he still believes what he wrote then
That's also a paraphrase of what I wrote further up in this thread aswell. But I did bring in your previous posts about Cellino who, if he takes over and you are to be believed, will get rid of the manager. That does not negate that this manager is trying to build something long-term - if others take it out of his control, the strategy was negated by others, not by him, and it does not negate that quote of mine. Circumstances appear to have changed the owners' outlook - if Haigh was to remain and be able to continue, everything would continue, possibly with more money under new owners. But if he is removed because of brand new owners, the whole thing has changed again. And again, if you are to be believed, we will be heading towards an owner who wnats immediate returns and is centred on short-termism. My previous contribution states that I don;t know what that will bring - better, same or worse - but that in the end, the club will remain and we all need to keep a longer term outlook. Sorry to everyone else having to read this as I have to expain in simple terms to your simple mind that my vision and desires for the club have not changed - but I am not in control of the club.
You also believed due to FFP THAT YOU HAD SIGNED ALL THE LEAGUES TOP PLAYERS AND WERE GOING TO WIN THE LEAGUE.That's some imagination you've got Mighty.
You expect mighty to understand more than one word in three of that? You negated your own very good point, and so on an so forth.
Hearing a rumour that Brian had a deal to bring Bechio back on loan for the season with an option to buy for £1.25mill, and was told no. If that's true we must be going to Need a new boss, he will have been totally undermined. Especially as he had been assured the deal was certain to be given the go ahead when he first discussed it with Haigh. Twitter fans keep us updated.
I would have a lot of respect for McD if he grows some balls and walks next weekend when he can't make any signings. Otherwise looks like another Warnock or Grayson. More likely outcome will be Ross sold, Becchio back on loan, and the knowledgeable fans saying Becchio was always a better player and Ross was very limited
If he walks he leaves behind his contractual entitlement, throws away his financial security, and possibly makes himself unemployable by any other club. it's not his fault Haigh is a ****er. Not sure he should be the one to suffer, he seems a really decent man.
Mighty is an English Teacher and owns his own English School He understands Might have been slightly more difficult if it was written in Italian though
I know. Italy doesn't have an OFSTED equivalent, you wouldn't last 2 minutes over here now. Not like you to leap on someone else's baited hook, are you ill?
I dont mind being hooked by others all part of the game Chesh has me forever hooked Celebrations for you tonight ? a weekend without defeat
