Yes, good luck to Dani. Hope it works. As for Pilks, I think this is the wrong time to be selling players. City's position is better, but still precarious and even if a replacement comes in he will take time to gel with the squad. More to lose than gain, IMO.
I can't believe that NCFC will sell both Pilkington(£3m) and Snodgrass (£6m)! Surely we aren't that hard up to sell? With less than a week to go before the transfer window closes, I can't imagine we have players lined up to replace them unless of course you count Gutierrez as a replacement?
Where has this been confirmed as anything more than the usual rumours that get bandied about every window? If every rumour was true, Johnson's joining Swansea too, RvW to Chelsea, Ruddy to Newcastle...
According to the Daily Fail we've lined up a move for Blackburn's Scott Dann, would he be a good signing for City? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ann-Anthony-Pilkington-3m-target-Swansea.html
Fairly sure he came up when I was looking through the list of players Hughton has worked with (earlier in the thread), so it would fit with the comments Hughton has made. Not someone I know much about, but I do live with a Blackburn fan so I'll ask him later.
NCFC transfer business: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Lack of goals: anybody for 4-3-3? Ruddy Martin, Bennet/Turner, Bassong, Ollson Fer, Tettey/Johnson, Howson Snodgrass, RvW, Hooper
Never ceases to amaze me how many fans want us to spend highly inflated January transfer money on players that don't want to come! I know, let's go into administration and do a Pompey or a Blackburn!
Dave, Blackburn got took over by Chicken nutters, but I know what you mean! On a side note, I am at pine lakes resort at Carnforth and went hiking around Coniston today on a 5 hour trek and it was awesome! Gave the kids to my parents and reconnected with Mrs Kemp on many levels. In a good place right now and football seems a bit small to be honest! Sorry, bit irrelevant but hey, there you go.............
Steven Taylor seems to have surfaced again as a rumour: http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/nor...aries-consider-magpies-swoop.php#.UuQgc9LFLEY A logical connection for journos, but there might be something in it.
I'd rather take the gamble on his injuries too. Because you know if we sold him he'd have 35 games for the team we sell them to! Persevere and we could get that for us. He really is one of the best players in our squad and tends to bring something extra.
I see no sense in selling pilks or any other member of our best 15 players unless we can use the cash to bring in someone better. I doubt a 3m midfielder would strengthen us or get a game so we should hang on to pilks at least until the summer when I imagine all players will be reviewed
What makes me laugh is that people rave on about inflated prices yet, teams are bidding chicken feed for our players. We are still looked at by the media and opponents as debt ridden little old Norwich by the sound of it.
