Mighty,you been on photoshop?? http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....nited-reject-3-5m-bid-for-mccormack-1-6395810
You may well be right Glory, but I've not given up, 6 pts from 6th spot and it's late Jan, plenty of points left. I'll change my mind if Ross goes......
January comes around we wonder what exciting player we might sign and instead talk switches to selling our captain, deja vu?
To be a bit pedantic Ristac, we're not actually talking of selling our captain, we're talking about someone wanting to buy him
We may lose him Eire, but they claim we've turned it down, i'll believe it when the window closes some people on here want to believe what they want to believe
Don't get me wrong Eire, I'm as pissed off as anyone the way our club is going, I just wait til the news is concrete before going off on one, We've got people posting threads saying "takeover done" when like **** it has, people saying we bid for Nakhi Wells to name one, but there's no evidence to back this up, I just don't see the point of blowing a gasket over rumours
Spot on olofq. The funny thing though is all the names that get mentioned here as targets all cost money whereas we deal in a totally different market. Some struggle to see that though. There's an old sayin, you get what you pay for and it's very apt with us
Exactly Eire, that's why I wrote on another thread that if we don't buy any decent players in this transfer window, as promised, we should kick off big time. enough is enough ... we'll end up struggling like Millwall if this carries on
Most effective form of protest Olof, and it worked against bates, is for fans to stop giving them money. Whether that entails not attending games or curtailing merchandise purchases. One thing that will make bankers or accountants panic is when they see figures dropping. And before someone tells me that will affect the team, some of our worst performances have been in front of our largest crowds
It did work with Bates, but the pressure was added by the protests organised by LUST, whatever some people may say. One thing we always have to remember is that players come and go, as do managers and owners, but the club carries on (despite it very nearly folding). Who's to say that in a year's time, Ross having gone, others gone, new owners, new manager, everything could be rosy, the same, or utterly dreadful. But this is what it is all about - living it. However it is. One thing's for sure, it's never dull for long.
