Flans the man for everton, rodgers said at the last derby he wanted characters.. johnson's characters spell useless c*nt
ah... flanagan and kelly. this is pointless debate we all know what'll happen. rb is just one slot in the back line.. who cares.
I've been harsh on Glen for a while but if he's been playing with injuries, then it would explain a lot. Kelly/Toure right back and flanno at left back. Our back line has really taken a battering this season. I hope Rodgers has some defensive targets lined up in the next 7 days.
is it just me, but i am starting to worry why we keep playing players through injuries. we had the same with Allen ffs, god knows the same is going to happen to stevie at some point as he shouldn't be playing as many games now days any way. summer is going to be interesting, as we should be getting rid of players like Coates and Kelly, who spend more time injured than sick note anderton.
Hasn't Sterling/Henderson both filled in at right back this season if I recall correctly? Could easily do it this weekend with it being a lesser side. I'd probably suggest Kelly for the Everton game.
Johnson comes out? What? Of the closet? Who Plays? #zingywould Joking (ahem!) aside, we'll probably play Kelly. Either that or we'll play someone else who's not quite fit and then they'll go off injured!
this^^^ I agree with luv. looked to be a good, young player before a bad injury. hope he's back to his best.
So we're playing a full strength side then? Hendo at RB, Joe and Gerd in the middle, surely that means Coutinho, Sterling, Sturridge and Suarez in front of them too?
Was just going to say can't believe nobody's jumped on the obvious innuendo of the thread title. Kelly should play. End of. Unless Gok Wan is available.
Incidentally, I don't believe for one second that Johnson has been carrying an injury all season. I think he's just been playing **** and this injury gives Rodgers a chance to shield him a little from the bad press. He did the same with Allen's shoulder not so long ago when, after playing ****e for months on end, he picks up a knock and it's said he was apparently playing for months with a crippling injury. Shields him from alot of the bad press since now the injury was the reason for his performances. Medical and physio staff are so good these days that anything tiny is picked up and no player plays with the slightest of niggles unless the team is desperately short. Don't believe it in the slightest, but I guess it's good PR work.
