Liverpool face Bournemouth this weekend in their fourth round FA Cup clash, the first time since 1968. The last time these two teams played each other, the likes of Roger Hunt and Ray Clemence were in the Reds squad. Liverpool progressed into the fourth round with a win against Oldham earlier in the month. The Premier League club, who sit fourth in the table, had to work for their win over the League One side, but they successfully managed to avenge last year’s defeat with a 2-0 victory. Bournemouth, who are placed mid table in the Championship, comfortably progressed in the competition when they beat League Two side, Burton, 4-1. Although Liverpool remain the favourites to progress into the fifth round, their away form has been mixed recently, losing three out of their last five games away from Anfield. KICK-OFF: Saturday, 12.45pm
right been out to wind up some fellow reds a bit today as it annoys me that this comp isn't getting focus but best of all luck to us reds this weekend. i am really looking forward to it
I think the reason its not got the attention it should is because there is a massive game that is one of biggest of our season just two days later.
Couldn't agree more but that philosophy is usually applied to the league and the cup games are "one-off games"

Joe Allen's out. Looks like Alberto will get a chance unless we see another Gerrard/Henderson two man midfield.
Agree, but I'd hoped Allen would start so Gerrard can rest. Unless Coutinho (who might also need a rest) plays in the middle I don't see anyway of not playing Gerrard.
Bournemouth will have goalkeeper Lee Camp available, having been ineligible for the third-round win over Burton. Boss Eddie Howe could select the same line-up that drew 1-1 with Watford in the Championship on Saturday. An injury to Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson means a defensive reshuffle for the Reds - Jon Flanagan or Martin Kelly could fill in. Fellow defenders Daniel Agger (calf), Jose Enrique (knee) and Mamadou Sakho (hamstring) are all still absent. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers conceded youngsters may form part of his starting XI for the tie: "You will never know until you put young players in. It can be a good time to put them in as long as they are surrounded by other senior players. "We are trying to maintain the effort in our work and it could be an opportunity for our young talented players." And Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe praised his opposite number: "Brendan inspires me. I have known him for a while and have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to watch him work and to build a relationship with him. "He is definitely one of my role models, someone I look up to. He is an innovator, a real thinker and gets his team to be brave and play brilliant football and deserves all the success he gets - I hope he goes on and does well for Liverpool long-term." MATCH FACTS Liverpool have progressed on both occasions that these sides have met in the FA Cup, though both times they have required a replay at Anfield to do so. These sides drew 1-1 at Bournemouth in 1927, before Liverpool won 4-1 at home in a replay. They then met again in 1968, when a goalless draw at Bournemouth brought about another 4-1 win for Liverpool at Anfield in a replay. Bournemouth's best-ever run in the FA Cup saw them reach the quarter-finals in 1957, beating Wolves and Tottenham before losing to Manchester United. Liverpool have won the FA Cup on seven occasions - most recently in 2006.
Think Moses will start, could see him even being played in the middle again if Brendan's feeling brave. Not to say I want him there. Playing him as a number 10 crushed his confidence.
