Has it occurred to anyone that if we loose the Capital One cup then Citeh won't want the Europa place and it'll go to 6th place in the league which looks like being Everton (likely), Man U (ironic) or even Newcastle (disaster!)! We could inadvertently put the rabble back into Europe!
wouldn't bother me tbh ...but the chances of Newcastle getting 6th are pretty slim I reckon reckon it'd be Spurs or Man U
If we do beat all the odds and get into Europe we'll need lots of investment in the summer, Swansea and Newcastle are examples of the Europa league having a negative effect
Don't give a **** really, they have done well this season, we have the cup final, they haven't so if our loss is their gain then good luck to them. It's the North East ffs so rather them than Villa or ****e like that. Anyway, it will make my dad smile so that's enough for me..
I'd rather think of it the other way, we can stop them getting into Europe by winning the Capital One Cup.
If we put them into Europe they'd be ****ed next season as there squad isn't big enough to cope. Simple.
Not our problem. We are in a Wembley final FFS! I don't give a monkey's if they DO get into Europe. Let them traipse around Iceland and Georgia **** knows where else picking up injuries in July, or whenever the Europa starts. If we get into Europe it would be a bit different, as we never get there and the experience would be fun while it lasts. But if would still bugger our season with all the extra games. If they get that, whoopee-do for them. Bon voyage, Pards, you smarmy kernt...
Thnk there are going to be some major changes to the format of the Europa Cup as nearly every club has complained about how many pointless games they play and the poor crowds. This should be a straight 2 legged knock out drawn from a hat (like the FA Cup) and this will increase interest imo.
Couldn't give a monkeys about our unwashed cousins Cest. If we can help them in some small way to be **** next year then fine, I can live with that.
Don't care if they get into Europe of our backs. I don't care who they play against or where. I don't even know who they're playing in the FA Cup today . . . . . Oh hang on
