I'd pay 6 quid fur a pie. It's a crackin good butchers though. Beef sausage in it is an optional extra.
Jesus, they're £1.80 here in East Yorkshire. Haddock is £4 on its own. Peas, beans, curry and gravy are 80p each. I'd hate to have to remortgage my condo to buy a 'fish supper'.
you'd not get much change out of a tenner down here for fish and chips. - unless you go to Wetherspoons where the food's actually pretty good but you'd want them to pay you to put up with the clientelle.
In fairness the ale's usually very good (not that it would concern you of course as I daresay you're already spoilt for choice) but it's just the people it attracts. They open at 8AM where i live and it's quite telling to see who is in there at that time when you walk past
