  1. He sorted his attitude out on the pitch!! That's what matters most. He's been brilliant.

So what if he has a big mouth? I'd rather he be abit over the top, then be less aggressive and just be a bitch to Mike Ashley like Pardew.

He may have his faults, but atleast he sorted out the main problem. His attitude on the pitch and with his team mates and his connection with the fans is what i care about.

He can speak out if he wants.

Would you not say his connection with the fans is buggered if 'hejoseandjonas' are next? Think with your brain, not your tash.

I read the title and for some reason sniffed my armpits.

    Habit I guess.

I think Barton has effectively sealed his exit from the club with his twitterisms...

There is no way I want Barton to be sold but I think he will go. If we lose Nolan and Barton then we have even less chance of keeping Enrique. If Jose goes then Jonas may look into that move to Serie A, then Colo may become unsettled.

I for one don't care one bit about his twitter tweets, at least it gives us a little insight into goings on as we get nothing whatsoever from board level. He, like the rest of us is entitled to say what he thinks and he's rightly pissed off with what's going on - as most of us fans are. I think we'll lose Nolan, Barton and Enrique so unless we bring in at least 5 quality players this summer we are in for a long hard season next season. With the current squad people were saying we need 3/4 quality signings to push on, if we lose 3 of our best players then I'll let you do the maths.

    Joey must stay.

Against a regime that have virtually kept his football career alive by backing him when he went to jail? And pays his wages? Yeah, it might be "refreshing" but it's also idiotic.

Some people talk such **** sometimes!

Barton's best English midfielder comment... was that not i can't think of an English midfielder who is playing better than me at the moment? I'm sure it was, and if we remember, he was awesome at that point while all others were flopping.

And Nolan loved it here, but he loves football more, which is why he is moving down a step or 3 to a club where he will play each week, instead of sitting on the bench here.

Haven't read Barton's contract of employment but I know that every one I have ever read has a clause saying that speaking out publicly or to clients that in anyway degrades or criticises your company/employer is a disciplinary offence.

So yes under the laws of free speech he can but under the laws on contract MA has the right to throw the book at him.

Don't talk ****e man. Expressing an opinion in private is fine, publicly criticising your employer and implying that you and several of your colleagues are jumping ship (whilst under contract which is impossible, but harms any potential return to the club if they do put requests in) is not only disrespectful to your employer, its disrespectful to the fans who've stuck by him for 4 years of middling performances up to last year and a period spent in jail. Try that at work and see if you keep your job.

Would you prefer someone who tells the truth - even when it what we would prefer not to hear, or the same old twaddle we are about to get from Pardew.

Give me honesty over the tired cliches us poor suckers are normally fed. "Taking every game as it comes", "giving 110%" etc
