The attendance at Newcastle games proves conclusively the British penchant to support the underdog

No because that is as high as NUFC can aspire to if he were to check the SAFC he would see that they have much higher aspirations

Guys can we try and keep this on topic rather than a Newcastle & Sunderland thing...we don't want our board turning in to that of our noisy neighbours.

    Correct

    section 7.2 of rule M.6

Hughton won't get fired if we lose to you, no need to worry chaps. It's part of the reason I'm really looking forward to this - first time in a while for Norwich fans! We're on the back of a relieving (if tight) win and a little cushion between us and the bottom three, so for the first time in a while, reasonably low pressure and confidence decent. Plus we're starting to get back to a full squad as players return from injury (still missing Howson, our best player of recent months unfortunately and Turner who's been fantastic, but otherwise we're not too bad injury wise). Also up against a strong Newcastle team in a very good run of form, so plenty of reason for both teams to be up for it and go.

Our away matches tend to be horrible to watch, but at least at home Hughton lets our players off the leash a little.

That being said, Hughton may (admittedly justifiably) decide that it would be better to negate the class of Cabaye and Remy by being very defensive for the first 60 mins... So it's probably just wishful thinking.

I'm hoping for a repeat of or something like our 4-2 win under Lambert (when you boys had two fullbacks at CB!) More likely 1-1, I suppose.

Not that bothered about Colo missing this game but please let him be back for the Derby. If Pardew plays Taylor he will make a critical mistake and it will no doubt result in us conceding a goal.

After this game I would like norwich to do v well, they are a better squad then their season has displayed IMO.

Regarding loans I don't think its illegal for him to play more like a gentlemens agreement ref contract.

Back in the early 2000s we played Pompey away who had lua lua
On loan, newcastle allowed him to play against us and he scored and win them the game

Gotta admit I like Norwich a lot.
Fans are never any bother and the club seems well run.

Was that in a cup match?

Loans are definitely prevented from playing against parents in the league, but I think you're right that a gentleman's agreement can be reached in cup competitions as long as the player is not cup tied. Either that or there's been a rule change since.

CH was very popular up here and I think quite a few would have him back instead of Hacky Sack.

Don't want a reminder all I remember is it was our first 0-0 for a while and one of the worst games of football I've ever tried to watch in full.

Canary rob nope it was in the premier league

Looking into it the rules have changed which I can't understand as its more dodgy then ever before how the likes of man city can have players scoring against their rivals and helping their goal difference
