http://www.vancouversun.com/health/...te Ovaltine deemed illegal/9419117/story.html Head-scratching, you can buy guns and ammunition there, but apparently a mug of Ovaltine is too lethal to be sold. England on the verge of a cricketing miracle - looks like they may win a game. The Aussie transitional team's run coming to an end....
I've put it through my new translater app (which is beginning to look like a real bargain!) and got an instant reesponse ... very impressive .. apparently it means: "Mother hold the candle while I shave the chicken's lip" ...
I see google transalator is not working today. All I said was hello everyong we have glögg today, as I am in a hurry.
As someone expert on Scotland perhaps you can tell us how many times Scotland have beaten England in a cricket international - if as suspected the answer is never then maybe you can tell us how many English counties they have ever beaten
I appreciate that this question wasn't directed at me, but it got me curious and Scotland last beat a county when they beat Nottinghamshire in Edinburgh by 18 runs (D/L) on 7/5/2012 and they also beat Bangladesh in a T20I in The Hague by 34 runs on 24/7/2012. (Information found on espncricinfo.com)
It shows just how bad our cricket has got if we're relying on our record over Scotland to get any comfort
Anyone found a stream of tomorrows match, it's going to be pouring with rain so it would be a good diversion.
wow ... with that very thorough flood defence insight you should apply for a job at the Environment agency ... impressove ...
Can't find one at all - I thought this site would have one http://www.coolsport.tv/schedule.html but the nearest comparable match they have is Real Madrid v Granada.
I don't think that it is being shown live anywhere in the world, as Man. City didn't wish others to see the tactics used by Watford to prevent them scoring.
You may find a stream here, but we won't know until tomorrow, they put them up on the day! http://feed2all.eu/type/football.html
The same number of times that England have beaten Scotland actually. Scotland's cricketing problem mirrors that of England - if you cast your eye down the team sheet, you'll find plenty of South African & Indian names but very few 'indigenous' locals, probably even more Aussie ones. I used to play a bit of social cricket in Oz just to keep fit for the football season - the son of one the guys in my team 'emigrated' to Scotland to play cricket and his name still appears in the top ten wicket takers for Scotland. Which for me says a lot about the state of the game here - he was about the same standard as his dad's team....
Yes I knew it was nil - which was why I gave the Scots a chance by holding up their record against the likes of minor counties I don't think Scotland mirror England - or have they the equivalent of 3 consecutive Ashes wins that Everyone has overlooked. As always in fact the Aussies get back on their boasting track when they at last win an Ashes series. Tell us when they win 3 in a row.
It wasn't so long ago that Australia won 8 in a row. And if we want to talk about boasting then the braggarts wearing our shirts recently have ben a very good match for any arrogance the Aussies want to throw our way. Part of the problem with the team if you ask me - which of course you didn't.
I didn't say that they did - merely that their problems did. There aren't enough locals in the side as they simply aren't good enough, mainly because it isn't really a popular sport here. It's played in primary schools, after a fashion - something called continuous cricket - but seems to disappear from sight at secondary school level. Something to do with the weather and the hilly terrain I suspect. I doubt they'll ever achieve Test cricket status...
Bit late but I haven't got any time to put up the match thread, sorry in advance and if anyone wants to have a quick go be my guest. enjoy the weekend all.
