Dan Kennett may be quite clever in manipulating statistics and then presenting his findings as facts. If you have studied Marketing Research then you would understand that such actions are fatally flawed. As far as I am aware, Mr Kennet is not a chartered accountant and has no experience in the presentation of corporate financial information. Therefore this statement that LFC only have a £10 million flex under FFP is just laughable. In fact such statements are only designed to create worry in the minds of the average supporter. Now, I am not a chartered accountant so I will hazard the guess that if Liverpool wanted to spend in excess of £10 million, they would have absolutely no problems in doing so and either revamping their accounts or taking any aprobation (unlikely) that UEFA may wish to make.

Worth noting he gets dribbled past only 0.8 times per match (career average) as opposed to Lucas who gets beaten 1.3 times per game.
Nah... those stats just suggest the opposition know better than to try letting the ball go near M'Vila. Don't pass the ball to the guy M'Vila is marking!
I had to edit it down! Think defensive stats are worthwhile though. They basically say Lucas was/is amongst the best players in the league in his role.
There are a lot of variables, even when considering defensive stats (less deceptive than goals/assists though), however I think in this case the stats correlate well with the general perception of both players. Lucas is still highly regarded as a ball winner, but concedes too many fouls and can be exploited in one on ones, especially by players with pace. M'Vila has struggled in the past few seasons to replicate his early form and despite his physical qualities he isn't a great tackler. All these comments are reflected by the stats.

arrested three times in the past three years for offences including attacking a restaurant owner after a bout of road rage, using prostitutes and punching a teenage boy who had shown an interest in his sister. All in all a fairly likeable person.
The main reason I don't like the stats you provided is because the depend on the quality of team they are playing in. A DM is going to have lower stats playing for a Barcalona than he is playing for someone like Place or Sunderland.
AT LAST! Somebody who actually interprets what the stats might mean. I'm sick and tired of people using numbers themselves to as decision making.
