I could get used to the club telling us when players are/aren't available and how long their injuries are meant to last. Feels so alien at the moment though, where's the mystique?
I must be out on my own on this one then, because I liked the cloak of secrecy. Leave everyone guessing, the opposition, the media, the fans....everyone. When we had to dig to find something out, when one of our little moles returned with a snip-bit of new information it felt so satisfying.
Yes of course, and it's probably a positive step as long as it is balanced. We really shouldn't/don't want to know all the nitty-gritty of what goes on in a football club though.
We don't need to know everything...I wouldn't want to worry about a minor injury that turns out to be fine for instance, but if someone has a broken leg and is out for months, we might as well be told sooner rather than later.
The eurpoean clubs are a lot more free flowing with information than UK ones. Not sure if it is a culture thing or what. Most UK clubs ou hear very little infor re injuries etc and say in italy for example you know most of what is going on within the club and especially with players. Not so much airing dirty laundry but they beleive in a lot of communication with fans
Reminded me of that loss to Tranmere. Couldn't even believe Saints could lose that game...was like watching a nightmare unfold.
ITV says squad is: Southampton squad: Boruc, Clyne, Fonte, Shaw, Schneiderlin, Davis, Cork, Lallana, Rodriguez, Lambert, Davis, Yoshida, Ward-Prowse, Do Prado, Hooiveld, Chambers, Gallagher. Do they know or is it a guess?
