I thought the club tweeted that Vic wasn't ready yet?

Perez said he wouldn't start. I doubt he'll be risked at all, personally.

I could get used to the club telling us when players are/aren't available and how long their injuries are meant to last. Feels so alien at the moment though, where's the mystique?

I must be out on my own on this one then, because I liked the cloak of secrecy. Leave everyone guessing, the opposition, the media, the fans....everyone. When we had to dig to find something out, when one of our little moles returned with a snip-bit of new information it felt so satisfying.

Nope. I'm with you on that 100%. We really don't need to be doing any laundry in public.

It's a balance surely. Personally I found some of the refusals to answer questions very frustrating.

I wouldn't say I "liked" it but I thought it was the more professional approach for sure.

Yes of course, and it's probably a positive step as long as it is balanced. We really shouldn't/don't want to know all the nitty-gritty of what goes on in a football club though.

We don't need to know everything...I wouldn't want to worry about a minor injury that turns out to be fine for instance, but if someone has a broken leg and is out for months, we might as well be told sooner rather than later.

Yes and I'd much rather hear it from the club first rather than a dodgy tabloid or Twitter account.

The eurpoean clubs are a lot more free flowing with information than UK ones. Not sure if it is a culture thing or what. Most UK clubs ou hear very little infor re injuries etc and say in italy for example you know most of what is going on within the club and especially with players. Not so much airing dirty laundry but they beleive in a lot of communication with fans

Can I point out we have a match tomorrow? A good win is just what we all need.

I'd settle for a win, good would be a bonus.

not sure the nerves will handle 4-3. Prefer 4-0.

Reminded me of that loss to Tranmere. Couldn't even believe Saints could lose that game...was like watching a nightmare unfold.

    ITV says squad is:
Southampton squad: Boruc, Clyne, Fonte, Shaw, Schneiderlin, Davis, Cork, Lallana, Rodriguez, Lambert, Davis, Yoshida, Ward-Prowse, Do Prado, Hooiveld, Chambers, Gallagher.
Do they know or is it a guess?

D/K but I'd expected at least Reed to be in the squad.
