You were mentioned a month ago it seems, that hardly counts as a conversation about you though does it? Other people from here have likewise been "Mentioned" but no one is writing articles on you or anyone else, why would they? The fact that you did a search and there was a solitary mention of your name by one person hardly qualifies as a fixation, whereas doing searches (i did'nt even know that option was avaialble) on a site that holds no interest could be construed as a fixation. Regarding new members being barred, that's not entirely true, the site is in the middle of an upgrade so it's closed to neew members in the short term amd as far as i'm aware the only people banned from TF are you and Pope, I may be wrong but then i'm not a Mod on TF.
I'm a member of both though have only just returned to this site & haven't been on TF in a while due to to not having the time.
Dev, seriously, what the ****'s happened to you man? You want to lighten up a little. I created a fail train thread for CG first of all because I thought it was funny, and secondly, I hoped it would bring one or two of you back into the fold - the decent ones I mean. There was no malice on my part, to be honest there never is. It's an e-persona, "Rocket" enjoys a laugh - sometimes at the expense of others and sometimes at himself. You were one that I hoped would come back because it can get a little lonely here at times being the auld **** of the forum. With you being that wee bit older than me I felt you were someone I could turn to when these young 'uns get out of control, someone to ride shotgun with me, a kind of Butch and Sundance Men4 ****ed it by posting a pic of CG - he shouldn't have done that and I know he's sorry. Apart from that I thought it was a cracking thread and it created a bit of a stir which was the whole idea in the first place. Fill yer boots.
And I don't have a fixation either. I kind of see TF as the rival gang and every now and then I like to shout a few obscenities from my side of the street and occasionally smash their windees. No one ever gets hurt in this cyber gang warfare other than a few wounded egos and it can be good fun.
I don't see this as a gang, it's just a site I used to be on, I bear no personal malice to anyone on here in fact there are some decent people but i've made my bed and TF is where I prefer to be just because i'm used to it. It's not the GetAlong gang as some people seem to assume, we have just as many heated arguments on there as we used to on here, the evidence of that is the fact that Marmaris and DM1982 are both no longer members. As I said the other day I am practically never on here because any time I do come on it's deadsville plus some of the content is beyond a joke, I know the sectarian stuff is mostly tongue in cheek but what perception would potential new members have of that content? If it was your average fan he'd avoid it like the plague. My coming over here was not part of some grand plan to disrupt or highjack and it certainly was'nt an attempt to recruit new members either, just a social visit with a bit of wummery thrown in. I may nip back from time to time but I certainly won't be visiting in case people have mentioned me in passing. Dev
