Swansea City star Neil Taylor is open to a move away from the Liberty Stadium, his agent has confirmed.

The Wales defender has been pursued by Premier League rivals Fulham throughout January and has struggled to win a place in Michael Laudrup's starting XI since the emergence of Ben Davies last year. And now Taylor's agent, Jamie Moralee, has spoken out over Taylor's frustration, admitting the full-back needs first-team football. “Neil wants to play football,” Moralee said, “and it doesn’t look like he is going to do that under the current manager at Swansea. “This is not about wanting to leave Swansea City, it’s about wanting to play some games.

“He has been out for 13 or 14 months with injury and the last thing he wants after getting back to fitness is not to play. “But it seems pretty clear that Michael Laudrup doesn’t fancy Neil because even after he played in a fantastic win at Manchester United, he didn’t play in the next game," he told the South Wales Evening Post Taylor has started just three Premier League matches this season after failing to win his place back following the devastating broken ankle that decimated last season for him.

Now, Morales has revealed Taylor and Fulham are waiting for a Swansea response to the Cottagers' bid.“I believe a bid has gone in from Fulham but I don’t think anybody has heard anything from Swansea in terms of a response,” added Moralee, of New Era Global Sports Management. “I am waiting for Swansea to tell me what’s going on and only then might my job kick in. “Neil hasn’t spoken to anyone at Fulham — nobody has —but I believe Fulham have probably recognised that Swansea are blessed with two very good left-backs. “Other clubs can see that Neil isn’t playing and that’s the way the transfer market works. “I am sure if Neil was playing at Swansea and Ben Davies was the one out of the side, other clubs would be looking at Ben Davies.”

Swans have rejected it - good. If Ben got injured, what would we do? We have two great players and Ben is suspect at the back right now, so we could try playing them both with Ben on the wing.

More importantly, we cannot be selling to Fulham - a potential relegation rival. I have to say, it's the 23rd already and we haven't made a single signing to cope with our injuries whatsoever, we ****ed up on the Ki recall, Bartley isn't getting recalled, and we haven't finished off the Rhys Williams deal.

And now were bidding for David N'Gog? What on earth Laudrup! I don't mean to sound Dai-like but could he get his head screwed on properly regarding transfers!

Maybe he doesn't feel the need to buy ( unlikely but he may have changed his mind ) , what he wants is either out of reach or not available ,who knows but if he rumours about Ngog are true then I'm totally underwhelmed

I think it's pretty clear that ML will be leaving in the summer and as a result he is not involved in the January transfer targets, another clear indication he will no going at the end of the season. Our current targets are those identified by HJ and coaching staff, that's not to say that ML isn't consulted, but has not surrender a list of targets.

ML's expertise is the Spanish market. But I agree with Sbulby don't think the board will sanction any big moves snuggest end by ML.

I think ML was looking for a quick forward in the Summer to give us a different option for the counter -attack and ball over the top. He has tried to use Dyer in this role a few times this season but he is not a striker.

The rumoured row with agent probably messed up this plan and the board still don't seem to be backing him. They took a share of the profits recently and should share responsibility when things don't go so well.

They must back him before its too late. When they did not back Sousa or Martinez the teams fell away at the end of the season.

What we need is one quality forward winger or striker not N ****ing Gog! This definitely isn't a laudrup signing! Come on let's have some ambition!

We cant possibly lose one of the best up and coming left side player in the premiership, that would be silly. Teams like fulham should be a non starter anyway and only the big sides would have some consideration and even they should be turned down as he will only end up like Sinclair sitting on the bench or playing in their 3rd side in front of one man and his dog..He is better off with us at this early stage of his career..

Looks like Taylor and his agent are trying to get a move.

I dont know with your injury crisis why Laudrup hasnt moved Davies left midfield and brought Taylor in at left back.

I don't know he's picked Teindalli ahead of Taylor at right back when Rangel was out. Taylor is a cracking player worth more than £4m in my view.

I feel sorry for Taylor, I have seen enough of him since his return from injury to suggest he should be ahead of Davies. For some reason it would Laudrup just doesn't like him.

Ben is very young don't forget and he was forced to play in the first team far sooner than was expected and to give credit when its due he has done more than any kid of his age was expected to do.. He has shown that he has the skill to play left back and as he is so young he could well play anywhere on the left in the future if he has a mind too...These are the sort of players that are the long time future of the club and must do everything possible to keep him and not let any money grabbing agent put ideas in his head just so he can make a million or two. Young donnelly should also be protected from these waste of space agents also. They are too young not to be tempted by money and don't give a enough thought about their long term future and once they move to a new club they could find themselves with a few quid more in their pocket but much less football... these agents are scum...

I agree Ben has done well, it is just this season he has taken vacation from his defensive duties on many occasions. I am not sure if Ben has matched Niel's defensive play at all in the 2013-2014 division, despite one playing the entire season and the other less games than we have fingers on one hand.

Yes and that is a concern, I remember Sousa wanting a Portuguese striker on loan, but Jenkins wouldn't part with the £500,000 so we ended up with Pantado all season, with Trundle caught in the crossfire, because Huw brought him back, and Sousa benched him pretty much most of the season. Also Ngog to me is a Jenkins target, I do not see this as a Laudrup target at all!................<ok>

All these rumblings are not very encouraging, quite the opposite in fact. As has been suggested, it might be worth playing both Neil and Ben together considering our injury problems. It's worth trying Ben further up field anyway as he's a bonus going forward.

agree with playing both at this time, we never know it might work a treat. we can try young ben on the left wing and see what he can do. neil should stay at left back imo. play rangel, chico and williams or monk at the back with leon controlling the midfield and i would personally make him captain as williams seem to play better without the responsibility. that wont happen i know but that's what i would do...
