Interesting stuff, although as one of the comments says, I'd rather this was all hidden behind closed doors rather than being leaked (assuming it's legit info). Wes not wanting to play because "he's not in the right frame of mind" is concerning I must admit, and that's something that could carry through the rest of the season. Once again, Lambert has won. Whether he gets his man or not, he's made it harder for us to stay up and therefore easier for Villa to, as we've got some new discontent in our camp to deal with. The penalty for tapping-up (if it ever got as far as an FA charge) would only be £100k or so, so it probably seems worth it.
It seems that Mick Dennis went to a lot of trouble to make sure his facts are right in the article, unusual in today's 'journalism'. I think Wes might arrive at the right frame of mind when the window closes and he doesn't have other options. A lot may depend on whether a new ACM comes in.
That would be the ideal scenario now. Bring in a quality ACM for a pretty low price, then wring every penny we can out of Villa for Wes.
And here's the Grolt sticking his oar inhttp://www.expressandstar.com/sport/aston-villa-fc/2014/01/23/aston-villa-striker-grant-holt-hails-former-team-mate-wes-hoolahan/
I'm not sure if I'm in the right frame of mind to work tomorrow. I'm sure my company will understand...
The club is in disarray because McNally reported yesterday that he wasn't in the right frame of mind to sign any pay cheques .......
