Swansea City are weighing up a bid for veteran Fiorentina midfielder David Pizarro in an effort to turn around their faltering campaign, Sports Direct News understands. http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/swansea-city-afc-transfer-news/38841-swansea-set-sights-on-serie-a-midfielder.php#.UuBRrMuQGSM
NNNoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo http://www1.skysports.com/football/...hip-swansea-chasing-bolton-striker-david-ngog Freedman confirming our enquiry
Yes I read that one, and I cannot believe it either, really don't understand this at all!.................
I fully back out club, but I can't see any good player wanting to come after the pubic announcement of laudrup leaving in the summer. There is no benefit of doing this for no one apart from dai that is! I'll fully back him once he is here but N Gog ????? It looks desperate! Huw dip a bit further in your pockets FFS
N'Gog??? What? 19 games 4 goals for Bolton. We might as well keep Lita. Pizarro would be immense! Which means it probably won't happen of course...
Bolton Press saying it's a loan move to get him off the wage bill. That bodes well then! http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/wanderersnews/10959564._/?
It's being reported that the youngster Ibrahim (Norweigan Viera wannabe) is set to snub us in favour of a move to Greece.
True. You'd like to think young players had the drive and ambition to back themselves to make it in the big leagues though wouldn't you? For me, either he doesn't think he's good enough to force his way into a Premier League team or, like you say, he has an alternative view of the World and just sees football as a way to earn some good money and travel (in short doesn't take the sport too seriously...) Both viewpoints have much to admire...it's just that I've always been a competitive ****er
Having a thought about Ngog, when he played for liverpool I'm sure he played on the right wing ,if thats correct then maybe he's not being brought in as striker per se.?
Yeah I remember him scoring an amazing goal coming in off the wing, would certainly fit Laudrups desire for wingers to play inside and act as secondary strikers. Trouble is he didn't exactly fulfill any of the early promise, I don't know maybe someone at the club has seen something in him we haven't. He is actually on a pretty good run of goals with Bolton atm. I'll welcome him with an open mind, I remember being a bit nonplussed with Routledge's signing, but look how that turned out. Although...the same was true of Lita...ho hum.
Yeah, Laudrup seems to have some faith in Vazquez and Michu's return around the corner would indicate that CF cover isn't his most pressing concern. Seems to me we missed out on Chadhli in the summer, were linked to the African left winger who's name escapes me but was playing for Sevilla I believe (Mubarak?), and have been linked with wingers all January....Stirling, Zaha, Ola John, Tom Ince etc. Laudrup has stuck Vazquez out on the right wing a couple of times also. Perhaps Ngog is not seen as ideal but is available for peanuts and fits the criteria in terms of positions he can cover, something to prove etc. Perhaps all of our other targets are dragging their heels or have said no already. Perhaps we are hoping the link will provoke one of our other targets to make up his mind. Perhaps he is merely seen as an upgrade on Lita and is being bought for the squad...with Lita's imminent departure enough to fund Ngog. I've no idea but what I do know is that you can't always get what you want. A truth that is lost on a lot of football fans who see every transfer window as akin to a visit from Santa. As soon as this window opened Jenkins made moves on Ince and a few others....not sure what else he and the board can do...like it or not we are not the most attractive proposition to young superstar footballers. Laudrup has been performing excellently in the transfer market given our size and wealth (the only moves I think haven't worked out are the loans of Lamah, Vazquez and Shecter...and let's face it we can stomach some loanees not living up to their potential. The worst signing after that has been Tiendalli and he has contributed positively).
There is a rumour on twatter that you have out a 3m bid in to us for Pilkington. have you heard anything about this?
Not had the best of times at Norwich lately, but I could see him fitting in quite well here actually. Very direct strong, skilful and a good eye for goal...on occasion. Wouldn't pay much over £3m though, and I'd be quite surprised if Norwich let him go to one of their rivals...?
Hands off! He's worth triple that, save for his injury record. You can have Hoolahan for a decent price - he wants out. Anyone but Villa...
