I'm pretty sure Hitler's dim view of the Jewish was based on stereotypes and myth ie greedy, money-obsessed, cost Germany the war. From what I've read, he had little personal experience of them.

Definitely. But if you had known a lot of people belonging to a certain group, and found them to be generally annoying, if you were then less likely to think favourably of them in the future, would you really be "racist"?

Depends on how you acted. I had a student job in a cash and carry place many years ago and a lot of the customers were of Pakistani origin and a lot of them were stingy and rude and I ended up hating them. But that doesn't mean I hate Pakistanis.
