had high hopes for him, still do, but tonight proved the point championship player at best, comparison Alonso no one expected much but a Gus pick outstanding, the new Mickey Gray

Wonder if Southampton would be interested in Fletcher plus cash for any one of Ramirez, Rodriguez or Osvaldo

For me, Bardo just edged it with the all important goal, and the lad never stopped running all night. For me he showed he is a reformed character, red & white through. Also I think we had eleven man of the matches, don't count Altidore as one of them though. A very big man of the match was the 9000 Makems who were there, they sounded incredible on the telly, while Bardo never stopped running, they never stopped singing the hairs were standing up on the back of my neck listening to the lads, the Mancs must have been impressed with our supporters.

despite a great team performance, i was seriously worried where our goal(s) would come from esp when Borini went off. Altidore gets worse every game, and Fletch has no pace anymore. that said he was feeding iff scraps and midfield were poor at supporting him coz who the hell is he supposed to fluck the ball onto. new front men and attacking midielder required asap

Borini looks the ultimate professional. He wants to go back to the bin-dippers at the end of the season, but he has never failed to put a serious shift in in every game he plays for us. He seems to get up and down the pitch like Bryan Robson on speed.

That said, MOTM Gus! He kicked every ball himself - had us well organised and with the self-belief that has been so sadly lacking for many years - closely followed as MOTM by the whole fecking team and the 9000 fans there. Brilliant - every one of them!

What's she doing there - I think that should be on another forum

I actually thought he looked like he wouldn;t give his all on Saturday - until he scored - 30 seconds before his goal I was saying (and everyone around me agreed) He looks like he doesn't care enough for this game. he got his goal and the rest of his performance was excellent.

I'd like to see hin given a go up top with Giaccherini on the left wing. Playing football this would work suprbley well

    Vito for me.

With honourable mentions to Alonso & Bardsley. And De Gea :)

They all worked their arses off, though, so a biggie to all the lads and the 9,000 who bust a gut singing their hearts out for the lads <ok>

We're going to Wembley! All of the ****ers deserve it!

Colback for me if I had to choose. He was everywhere. He'd be the best allround midfielder at the club if Poyet could teach him to put a cross in.

Didnt think Jozy did too badly imo. I dont see what Fletcher did better than him - neither of them are any good as target men.
