Well, lets go through some anyway. Lamela, curious, in an ideal world I'd like Lamela getting to grip with the no.10 gig, or VdV's role as its being referred to aswell lately, and Eriksen starting to fill the Modric void further back. Not happening atm thats for sure. Holtby, no bids, no-one interested?...no comment. Everyone knows we're offloading one or two....are they waiting to screw Levy over on the last day?
It's Guillem Ballache, so I hope he's talking out of his arse, as he's tended to do a lot recently. Chelsea are mental if they sell Mata to Utd. Not sure about how he'd fit into the side when everyone's fit, but he's a clear step up for them in terms of quality.
It was the guy who is introducing tonight's COC game who said it. Cant't remember his name but he does Goals On Sunday with Kamara.
Ben Shepherd? Its a fair opinion just from whats running round social media, not confirmed yet, no scrolling yellow bar on SSN yet, but he's a goner now. Chelsea have screwed some good money out of United if the figures are accurate.
How do you know I'm not Sandro? One of my first cars had 666 in the reg., I used my cut n shut skills to lob a Rover V8 into a my 3.0lt Granada, the last of the old Sweeney style one. To this day I've no idea why! grief on an unimaginable scale!
Mata to united isn't good. Very talented player. If united can get 1 or 2 more, it's going to be a very difficult end to the season.
I'd have an accident in my boxers if we signed Falcao . Jokes aside, it's just nice to finally go into a window not being all anxious and anticipating the fact of "will we or won't we sign joe bloggs or john doe?!" If we sign anyone it's a welcome bonus but I'm actually happy with what we have, for a change. (Though a back up striker to replace Defoe would come in handy )
Extremely smart move by Mourinho. Mata clearly isn't part of his plans and Chelsea will not face Utd again this season. Utd on the other hand, have Arsenal, City, Liverpool and Everton. A Utd team with Mata makes them much stronger and will give them a great chance of beating the said teams, potentially allowing Chelsea to catch up on points on the two above.
It's not smart, it's cynical at best. United would have had a huge job on their hands if they missed out on the CL, lost Rooney and had to rebuild their side this summer. With Mata they have a good chance to get top 4, have half a chance of pursuading Rooney to stay and have a quality playmaker, which they really need. If United's results against Arsenal and City don't affect the final positions(which is pretty likely) then he's strengthened a long term rival for no reason at all. I don't think it has anything to do with that though, I think it has everything to do with their recent accounts. They've shown that they're currently just scraping past the maximum debts FFP allows when they don't win the CL(the only time they've broken even) and Mourinho probably knows that he can't sit on a £40mill asset because he doesn't rate him, especially if he's to continue spending freely. When it comes to selling him foreign clubs that are interested can't afford him at their valuation, the ones that can aren't interested so I think it's purely a business deal rather than an elaborate attempt to grab a very small advantage in the title race.
You often hear fans say "imagine what that manager could do with a bigger budget" Piss it up the wall signing the wrong players. Moyes is caught between signing a big name to please fans and save his job, and signing players which suit his ideal system. His problem is because of the pressure he is under, he isn't imposing his beliefs, hes becoming lost in the job and now convincing himself that players like Mata can come along and save Utds season. Fellani at Everton was transformed by Moyes into an attacking machine, he was superb, strong, scored goals, assists, caused utter havoc yet at Utd hes been played deep which doesn't suit his game and he won't be offered the chance to play further forward as this would result in Utd playing a direct game. Fellani was a panic buy after the transfer screw up. Mata is a panic buy because they are in danger of missing out on top four. Everything associated with Moyes is based about panic and hes making the wrong calls. Hes need to go back to basics, make their defence and midfield strong, base their games on keeping a clean sheet as even without Mata they have players who will score.
One man doesn't make a team, and United's problem isn't Midfield imo,the defence needs sorting out,if they want to rescue the season
Apparently Chelsea are trying to hi-jack Mohammed Salah from Liverpool, who does thet remind me of.....
Can see what you're saying but I still think it's smart. Mata's a match winner and if he can perform against Chelsea's two rivals for the title spot getting either 1 or 3 points, Chelsea can leap to the top. Having said all this though, I think Mata should be having 2nd thoughts!
