So you've written united off as rivals? Slightly short sighted of you. If they miss out on CL then that would **** them for the next few years, as it stands mata could galvanise them and next year they could be back up there. Although t doesn't change the fact that moyes is a truly average manager
Don't see Iniesta tracking back too often, and Messi couldn't defend if his life depended on it. Neymar can only run in one direction, forward, and Robben ???. Glad none of them is at Chelsea
Robben was at Chelsea and was a wasteful selfish bastard and got sold, as he was at Madrid, as he was at Munich. Jose has got the best out of Hazard, Oscar, even Mikel is playing better than I have seen him. So Mata goes, he'll get replaced or we get a new striker. He is just one player who did well over the last few seasons when we were generally playing crap anyway, so he did shine. This year, he hasn't looked at his best, or have our other players just raised their game? He will be missed as he was fantastic, but we're in a far better position now than we have been for years and he's not playing. If Hazard & Oscar get injured, then they will regret selling him. Better to have quality on the bench then playing for another team.

£40 million for a £23 and a half million player and maybe if we wait a week £50 million. That is why Chelsea would sell to Man U. We just announced a loss. As for Mata, he is a good pro and would jump at a chance to be the big fish in a small United pond and good luck to him we should all say. On the other paw he is still a great asset to us, so Chelsea in a win/win.
Come on, please can this just be Mourinho setting up a nuclear wum at the end of the transfer window when he cancels the transfer
I've been thinking. Mata was the best player in a team well off the title pace two years in a row. This season, he has been a squad player and we are right in the mix. People are letting their sentiments and bias get in the way here - he is a quality player but we are doing perfectly well without him. I fully expect the money to be wisely invested. I thank Mata for everything, but everyone leaves eventually.
Sorry Varier but no excuse for selling a player of Mata's calibre to a rival, especially one like United.
