Would Allam Marine Diesel Generators sell more worldwide or attract more inward investment if they were renamed Tiger Marine Diesel Generators? If not, why not?
Isn't he obligated to consult with the fans? I thought that was a requirement of the process? Or, will he try and use the meeting between a few forum representatives as 'consultation'?
The Premier League have fan consultation in their rules, but the FA don't really have any fixed rules, they just give themselves complete discretion so they can make them up as they go along and it's their vote on this. I suspect that the FA will not be happy that the fans have not been consulted and the Premier League will no doubt raise the lack of consultation in their submission.
It was fairly obvious that it just was being done to stop the club using the name, so they didn't accept it, for fear of a legal challenge from the club.
I believe in the event of a merger you're obliged to take the league position of the lowest placed club. I may be wrong, and would like to see an example if I am, but I think that rule exists to prevent someone doing what Gateshead did with Hull FC, although in football the fear is it would be in order to promote their club several divisions in one shot by taking another club out the reckoning. If we were in admin and Scunny's owner decided he was going to buy us and merge us, you wouldn't want him to then be able to have Scunthorpe United playing at Glanford Park in the PL.
i expect he will but i can't think he'll remember to mention all of those words from it that he never goes back on.
Assuming the FA reject the name change, what would be the consequence of Allam using his pet name anyway as much as possible?
mostly sn****ring with hands over mouths. apologies! i didn't realise 'igge' was a profanity in these parts! oh, it isn't. odd.
