    The film is a sort of coming-of-age summer holiday story after they leave school. One of the best bits is Mr. Gilbert's farewell speech on their last day at school. Excruciating.

    Nearly did. It kind of beat me to death with the incessant nature of it. Riding a crappy Suzuki GSX550 every day didn't help either. I bought that just to do the 52 mile round trip to Canterbury every day. It gave me no pleasure at all. A few years later I got an old Honda CX500B. If I'd had that at Uni it might have been a bit more bearable.

    Oops, diverted to bikes there. Sorry.

    Last exam done ever :) I'd say it was the worst I'd ever done but that would ignore a whole pile of crap I have been responsible for in the past.

    I suppose it doesn't help in the slightest when I say that I know the feeling. :)

    I've been at my desk since just after 11 with a list of stuff. Got up, fed the rabbits, let them out for a run, checked the news, finding anything other than this list........ Do It Now!!!!!!!!!!!

    <laugh>

    The Spanish have a word for it - mañana or tomorrow. They are famous for it. Doesn't seem to have done them any harm.

    There have been times in my life when I could have strangled the person who invented the phrase we have all heard, ...never put off until tomorrow what you can do today. It is one of those little maxims that helps to build the stress that occurs in the western world and means that people go around with so little time for themselves because all they doing is filling their time with things they must do. Sod those things. Put them off if you want to, occasionally, and don't feel bad about it either. Besides procreation, we're put on this earth to have as rich a life as possible. Put you feet up, if you want.

    Actually, it's not that bad a maxim. It's the never bit that needs a little editing. :)
