Roll the clock back to the start of this season, would we have been in a better league position has we signed two wide players instead of Hunt, Smith and Murphy as these were the three summer signings. We proved on Saturday that we could compete with the top team without Smith, Hunt and Murphy and why did the manager sign Hunt in the first place, he knew what he had to work with, he surely knew what formation he was going to be limited to.

The manager has wasted money no doubt about it and I would imagine GFH feel the same hence the block on Barnes who I personally believe would have been another waste.

Put yourself in the boards shoes, "You want to sign another striker Mr McD?" "May we ask why when you signed Smith and Hunt and you already have Varney, Diouff, McCormack, Poleon and Morrison"...

Eire, a taxi driver in Leeds came up with this conspiracy theory, which I thought was bollocks, but anyway. He was saying that nearly every christmas for the last 10 or so years that the team start losing or going through a bad patch. He believes that some of the players don't want to go up to the Prem because they know they aren't good enough and they'd be off loaded to a lower league team and their generous wages would be slashed. Now like I say. I think it's bollocks...

Hmm makes you wonder Shaks. Taxi drivers likely to hear murmurings maybe others would not be privy to.Tell you one thing though Shaks. I find it laughable people including meself being accused of negativity here. I was as positive as anyone when it looked like McD had found a winning formula but the last six weeks have been shocking, tempered by an ok performance against Leicester by Warnocks old team.Ill get back on the positive boast when theres something to get excited about. Seems like its in danger of becoming a forum for the select. What do you think

I second that sentiment because I was glass half full for the first time in years. I thought GFH were going to be good and thought we had the best manager who knew how to set the team up and get results. What's happened in the last month has shattered that and I want to know who's fault it is.

I hear the manager moaning about the deal not been done and I accept that its affected the team. But I can't accept some of the performances and that has to be down to the manager and his tactics. Yes a decent fight last week but we lost again and he played Warnocks team except for the new wingers.

Answers required on a post card please because I've no idea what the hells happening back at the ranch.

    Crap owners
Not giving the manager enough cash
    Bargain basement players on freebies
Sick to death of hearing how tired the players are
We stink and have been a joke again

    Eire you've always been a miserable fecker....

Only messing. I think you've just been honest, if people don't agree well so what. That's the whole point of a football forum, different opinions. Leeds United supporters have always been divided by loads of subjects. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Everyone is allowed an opinion, you don't have to be positive and we don't have to be negative. Some are borderline depressed IMO though and have never posted a happy post.Man u were 1 or 2 games away from sacking Alex at the start and City were all over the place last season, took them 12 months playing together to be possibly one of the best teams in the world.Myself I get very down after a loss and am in a foul mood for 24 hours after that I move on and hope for the best.

I agree, I was replying to Eire's question because he may feel people are having a go at him because he isn't falling for the flannel that Mr Haigh and his mates are continually spouting. To some this sounds a bit negative, but like I say I can't really blame him because we have had this ****e for years now. Bates is gone and we're still treading water in this League. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Treading water but hopefully not leaking funds for consulting fees etc. Next set of accounts due within 6 weeks or so should be interesting. We will see what if anything has changed in the financial activities somewhat post - Bates (6 months or so).

Yes, but were wide players actually available? Probably not, which explains in part why we got the players we did and why we played a diamond formation at the start.

Boggers are you suggesting that the ideal player could not be produced out of thin air and in an instant by BeeMacDee?

    How disappointing!
