Morning Peeps, The takeover has hit a snag!!!!! There are unspecified issues relating to the terms of the sale. Cracks in the relationship between Sport Capital and GFH have become strained since it was revealed that senior officials at the Bahraini bank blocked an attempt by United to sign Ashley Barnes, despite Sport Capitalâs members - among them Enterprise Insurance managing director Andrew Flowers - making funds available for a £500,000 transfer fee. Is this the end of Haigh / Flowers? Will the takeover still go ahead? Who would be happy if it didn't go ahead? It has been reported in the Mail that GFH have agreed a deal with Massimo Cellino, owner of Serie A Cagliari.
Morning all. Personally prefer if Haigh has nothing further to do with Leeds. All bluster and no money. Irrelevant now whether it goes ahead or not. Under Bates we signed third rate players, under gfh the same and despite Haighs promises were still doing the same. We're like the Carlsberg ad, nobody does takeovers like Leeds United
As usual the whole thing is a joke. Amazing how Haigh is a director of GFH yet can still manage not to see what GFH were doing behind his back. He's still a director of GFH for gods sake. These people are in it for money and the huge share price hike the other day shows that something has happened behind the scenes. I would suggest that Sports Capital is being binned because a better offer is on the table. The Italian looked at Watford a while back and other clubs, but I don't think he wants Leeds Utd. We need to face the facts folks, Haigh and his backers don't have serious wedge and will never be in a position to drive us on. They were only trying to make money from wheeling and dealing shares, just like GFH are doing. November the 30th this deal was in place and yet again its being binned a couple of months later. The share price jumped 11% the other day and would imagine that would cost GFH serious money if they let the club go at the agreed price back in November ....... We keep getting fooked over don't we
Morning Everybody, Morning Doc, Haigh and Flowers may not have much wedge, but if you need a courtesy car, Flowers is our man!
http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/01/22/italian-sacking-specialist-close-to-buying-leeds/ I read this guys report on Monday and although intesting I didn't give it much credence. However I have seen yesterdays update and todays update which has a bit more meat on the bone. Its now widely reported in Italy that he has actually hijacked the deal - which would be the reason for the hike in the share price, and would mean Haighs people finding another £2m which they dont have, and even if they could find it would damage our transfer budget ....... Either way reports in the YEP about us chasing Matty Fryatt for £1.2m have no chance now, and imagine another transfer window is fooked up
A few of us have been saying this is all hot air and we have been calling Haigh out all along, no surprise in this corner. Just part and parcel of being a modern day Leeds United supporter.
Read somewhere he has an amazing record of sacking managers. 20 in 15 seasons or something. Should be some crack if he buys us. Poor McD will be looking over his shoulder
He's a convicted Italian fraudster who has served time for embezzling £7.5m funds from the EU and in a seperate offence was suspended by the Italian football authorities for cooking the books at the club he owns, Cagliari. He's known for his volatile temperament and has sacked 36 managers in 20 years. Sounds great
To be fair, don't you need to shift some out before you sign any more players - your squad is mahoosive already
Morning all ... GFH are playing silly buggers with our club, and they are clearly trying to squeeze more money out of Sport Capital, which doesn't help us at all ... the fact that SC put the £500k needed to sign Barnes on the table shows their intent to help McD, and they also funded the Kebe/Stewart signings ... Haigh will be right for us until we get to the Prem, rather him than some idiot cowboy Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Billy have you been drinking...demonstrations against Haigh and his cronies looming on the horizon.......
