They've got a thread of songs to sum up the mood - I had to log off for fear of being tempted to put a few up there!
All you need to say that Le Tissier is a donkey (derogatory term for someone from Guernsey) and that should do it!
Sadly nothing lasts for ever unless your very lucky but I hope Southampton do keep progressing as they a decent club who play good football and have a nice mix of experience and young British players.
Seems as if Boro are prepared to splash a lot more cash than we can afford. http://www.teamtalk.com/chelsea/911...line-up-deal-for-Chelsea-s-Nathaniel-Chalobah
Looks likes Boro has formed links with Chelsea http://www1.skysports.com/football/...confirm-talks-with-chelsea-over-january-deals Expect they'll be getting him on the cheap.... Also says a link with Athletico Madrid and to expect payers coming in. Losing their identity, ruining the game, the reason for the demise of the England team, etc etc etc....
http://www.theguardian.com/football...d-abuse-death-threats-withering?commentpage=1 An interesting article on the future, or lack thereof, of football at grassroots level and how it may impact on the professional game. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/46134 - an e-petition aimed at getting more money to trickle down from the EPL.
As ever the millions in football is going to the wrong people and wrong places. You only have to look at the Chalobah article to see that!
Just what do they take fans for? "The Hammers were crushed 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night in the opening leg of their semi-final tie only days after the 5-0 FA Cup third-round exit to Championship side Nottingham Forest. Despite the heavy loss against City, adult tickets for the return fixture at Upton Park will remain priced at £42. Season ticket holders will be charged £32, while academy members will have to stump up £37. West Ham also confirmed supporters, who purchased their tickets for the second-leg, would not qualify for a refund."
Another one gone; http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25828840 Not overly surprised with the run they are on. Been in charge less than a year! Also; Sky Sports News ‏@SkySportsNews 48 mins Sky Sources: Ince informed of his dismissal by text message #SSN Not very nice way of finding out!
It couldnt happen to a better person. He deserves no pitty whatsoever! He has proved, via his abuse of officials and criticism of his own players, that he refuses or is incapable of recognising his own shortcomings and prefers to mouth off at anyone around him. He has tarnished the name of Blackpool FC through those antics, and I am happy to see him leave English football.
One hopes that he does indeed leave English football, as a "manager" at any rate - how he keeps getting jobs is akin to how Keanu Reeves or Colin Farrell keep making films!
He's a pain in the arse but he hasn't condoned his star player being a racist; openly ridiculed one of his players for being homosexual; used the funeral of a rival club's biggest legend to take the piss out of them; spent 26 years publicly berating officials and other teams and also started a war with 2 irish gamblers over stud rights which may have indirectly led to the sale of the club he managed; taken bungs; fiddled the taxman; criticised one club's use of the loan system whilst using it in a rather creative manner himself etc etc etc. All I'm saying Dan is that there's been a lot worse over the years and some of them have been hailed as legends despite their disgraceful behaviour..
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/results Scroll down... looks like 10 teams are competing in the Irish cup Final ???
I suppose it could be that, between them, they could just about raise enough reasonably good players for two decent teams....
Or it could be those that have qualified for a finals tournament in the same way that all teams heading for Brazil are said to be in the finals!
