Doubtful. You're trying to shoe horn 3 number 10's into the same side. Kagawa doesn't really work in a more wide position and neither him nor Mata would provide much cover in the other direction. Obviously they are fine players but if you are spending 40 million on Mata and paying Rooney 250k a week + to stay, I don't think you'll get enough return from them players in that system for your buck. What about the 18 year old as well? He's been your best player this year bar Rooney.
You'd have Mata in the middle, Rooney off the left and Januzaj off the right. Kagawa doesn't even come into the equation, forget him. If we get Mata he's surplus to requirements. Rooney can and has played off the left, when Ronaldo was in the middle. He plays centre forward if RVP is injured with Jan swapping to left and Nani (if he's still alive) off the right. Carrick and Fellaini are the deep 2. It's a start at least.

So you upset three players in your squad who want the number 10 shirt by buying mata. Kagawa and Janujaz could develop into good no 10s given the chance and you already have Rooney who is more dynamic than Mata. Why throw money at the problem when you just need to develop kagawa and janujaz. That was the Fergie way. Has the club abandoned his philosophy already? Is this the new Manchester United way?
Be careful mate. You don't want to start a meltdown on here like the Liverpool board. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/246461-mourinho-taking-the-p***/page4 How can the Scousers get do wound up?
You play Rooney through the middle because hes the most defensive of the 3. He is the one who goes and drops deep to make up numbers in the midfield. kagawa/Januzaj and Mata are wide. When Rooney drops Mata plays the second striker roll. We would have no formation to speak off. Thats how you make it work. ---------------De Gea---------------- -----Evans-----Jones------Smalling--- Rafael----------------------------Evra ----------Carrick---Fletcher----------- ----Kagawa----Rooney-----Mata--` -------------Robin van Persie--------- or something like that?
Changing your tune now, I thought you like your attacking players to attack Got a few too many players there too mate
Oi! Were pretty desperate. I even counted them to mke sure but didnt count De Gea. Anyway, Evans isnt supposed to be there
