As a 49er fan, I'm pretty bummed out and was fuming after the game.

For me the refs cost us the game. Yet all I'm being told is to "take the loss like a man" and "CK had 3 turnovers in th 4th"

What I don't understand is why does one negate the other? Why can't all these statements be true?

In every other sport and especially in europe, if a ref ****s up, it's all over the papers and on everybody's lips.

In the U.S it seems as though if the ref hands the game to the other team, it's all hush hush, especially in the media.
The game commentators agreed and pointed out the bad calls but that's about it.

If you complain about the refs you whine (fortywhiner in my case), you're not a man and you're a bad loser.

I really don't get that. The focus is now on CK's poor throws, yet he wouldn't have had to make those risks had the seahawks not scored following an obvious blunder by the refs. Simple cause and effect.

You just can't blame the refs apparently.

    You're obviously upset.

I disagree with your comments on refs in Europe.

Refs make bad decisions in football, do not explain their reasoning and are then protected by the FA.

Refs in rugby are equally as bad - awful decisions to go TMO when ball is clearly over the line and terrible penalty decisions.

Chin up mate it gets better over time (my team lost in the playoffs even though having a 28 point lead).

One thing I do like is, the crew that made fewest mistakes, get to officiate the Superbowl.

I don't think you understood y point. I'm not suggestions refs should apologise or something. I'm just saying that when a ref ****s up in football , players fans and managers along with pundits all talk SBOUT it immediately. a red card or cheap penalty etc...
In the NFL you are a sore loser for pointing it out. Just because my team lost doesn't make the miscall roughing the kicker any less farcical .
You can't criticise public ally the establishment that is the NFL apparently.
It's sad because it means refs aren't going to improve if they are free of any responsibility .
