Game at for the "Under 21s" at Reading (well Basingstoke) off tonight to go along with the game cancelled this week against Potters Bar in the Herts Senior Cup. Bit of a fixture pile up. Shame as I think Hoban was going to get a game. The Under 18s are playing at the Vic next Saturday against Norwich (1pm kick-off) so if you're not going to Manchester....
Watford have a word here. http://www.mbl.is/sport/enski/2014/01/15/atta_breytingar_a_lidi_man_city/ Liðin skildu jöfn, 1:1, á Ewood Park à Blackburn á dögunum og þurfa þvà að mætast aftur til að útklá hvort þeirra mætir Watford à 4. umferð keppninnar. Teams separated even, 1:1, at Ewood Park in Blackburn recently and need to meet again to settle if they could meet Watford in 4th. round of the competition. and here. http://www.mbl.is/sport/enski/2014/01/15/storsigur_manchester_city/ Manchester City mætir þar með öðru B-deildarliði, Watford, à 4. umferð keppninnar um aðra helgi Manchester City meet with another B-Division team, Watford, in the 4th round of the competition for the second weekend.
Final day kick off is 12:15 (much like the rest of this season in terms of TV games) http://www.football-league.co.uk/fo...nship-kick-off-time-confirmed_2293334_3623596
Just had a look at the FA website and Angella no longer appears as having a match ban. The only name is Merkel suggesting that the whole affair a mess and the red card has not been transferred. The web site could be running behind mind you. Still nothing on the official club site. Thought that they might have said something by now.
There is now: They say club won appeal but only enough to get the red card transferred to Hall so Fitz misses the Man City game - not too bad I guess.
Bemoaning the lack of information here - they also appealed the red against Hall but lost. I'd like to know the grounds of the appeal as well as the reason for refusal.... Battocchio not leaving after all, thanks to Beppe - let's hope the same applies to Faraoni. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/watfordfc/watfordfcnews/10952946._/?
I am rather pleased that Battocchio is not leaving as I think he has something to offer us. When McGugan played for Forest he had his moments, but to my mind he was not consistent. My Forest friend always reckoned he only played when he felt like it. I still see the same things in his play and think that Battocchio can be a better team player on his day.
Sorry about BB - Bit lazy of me really! Agreed about Battocchio - he is a young player too compared to some of the other midfielders we have so think its important we keep him and let the guy develop his game here.
Rather have Hall or Angella for the City game?? Hypothetically I know now as Hall is suspended. All still harsh as if we wre just going on Hall's tackle then it is never a red. Crazy, the refusal was rejected. Good news regarding CB though...
The Herts Senior Cup game against Potters Bar tonight was called off due to the pitch being unplayable. It was cut up, boggy and had tire tracks all over. It simply wasnt playable despite some of their fans suggesting it was us pampering our players.
So Hall got the red card then. I thought the linesman who gave the penalty indicated it was for the pull by Ekstrand? I didn't think the situation could get more farcical.
They will. The players and staff were saying it may be this Thursday. But there are lots of games building up, so its anyones guess.
I wonder what the reaction would be if the club suggested that Hall would have been selected for this fixture and it should count as his suspension....
I thought exactly the same, as did many others. I wonder if referees reports are available under FOI....
From what I can gather, that would be well within the rules. However, the club prefer to use this as a chance for the young players to play. Plus, the team sheets had been handed in, so it was clear he wasnt in the team.
