The first Spurs fans have been charged by the CPS for using the word 'Yid'. As much as spurs fans would like to 'claim' this word as their own, it seems that the Met police and the CPS are going to apply the law. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-25831077
According to bookmakers Juan Mata is 4/7 to join Man United But according to league statistics he's actually 3rd to 7th
David Moyes has promised fans of Manchester United that they will be in a major European competition next year...even if he has to write the song himself .
The THST want this test. They are confident they can defend this charge and put an end to it once and for all.
I guess the CPS would be saying the same thing for different reasons though. It will be interesting to see what happens, this will set the precedent. As much as I know you spuds don't use the word in an intentionally derogatory way, I'm just not sure that non Jewish football fans chanting it en masse, have a legitimate defense to be honest.
Give over with the anti-spurs bile for one moment. This is a serious matter. If the PC brigade win this, then where to next? Anything deemed even slightly offensive will be outlawed. We won't be allowed to be called "gooners" because someone may be offended, some BS "Union of part time criminals" will complain that "goon" is diminishing them.
It's not anti-spurs bile, I'm just interested to see what the outcome will be as it will set a precedent. I think the law will fall on the side of anti-discriminatory practice personally. I don't think that the Union of part time criminals will get very far with their claims that 'Goons' are being misrepresented by Arsenal fans though
god job peter sellers, harry secombe, and spike arent around as they defo would complain about us gooners
Mata to Manchester United is interesting for so many different reasons. It is just a mere coincidence that Chelsea have already faced United twice this season with United still having to play us and City? Mata makes them stronger and gives them a better chance of taking points off Chelsea's title rivals.
Fortunately we face them in early Feb before any new signings they get will have time to gel. Even if they did I still quite fancy our chances against them at the Emirates.
I really hope they are successful in this. I feel there are probably very many Jewish fans who stand (sorry sit) shoulder to shoulder with all the others and sing the same song. It has become part of your identity and was taken on to deny idiots the chance to be anti-semitic. Stand your ground, the fightback against PC has to start somewhere.
How bad is our luck? So Chelsea get face a United side without RVP and Rooney and in a few weeks we are no doubt going to face a United team with Rooney,RVP and now probably Mata. FFS.
What the hell happened to Kawaga? He is a shadow of the player from Dortmund, or did they send his unknown ****ty twin brother and kept the real one in a cellar somewhere?
