    Sorry to say but I seen it coming but Nolan is much to blame aswell. He had a contract offer but refused to take it but why drop down to the championship? Give captain's armband to Barton or Saylor.

    Hmmm.

    I appear to be one of the very few who is not overly concerned at his potential departure.

    If we can get £5/6 million for him then I don't have an issue with it at all. We have a lot of midfielders and Nolan's role of sitting behind the striker is most likely going to Ben Arfa next season.

    We also have Cabaye.

    He wasn't offered a contract , contract negotiations were due to start next season. All the contract talks in the media turned to be false.

    I don't see it going to Barton, I think this is a statement by Ashley that he's not going to let the players try to rise up against him, so Barton will probably be gone soon too. Barton and Nolan were likely the leaders of any anti-Ashley feeling in the squad.
