Hardly rocket science though is it Rob? And it's not as if you're the only person saying that, I'd have thought it was the general consensus by now
Rumours emerging that Lazio are after Senderos. Could it make our move for Ciani more realistic? http://www.cittaceleste.it/notizie/notizia/16349-lazio-idea-senderos-per-la-difesa?
senderos i sit next to a fulham season ticket holder, most of them at the cottage do not think highly of sender-dross
Nice to see CH credited with something displaying "logic and balance" . Your interpretation also fits with his pursuit of Toby Alderweireld last summer -- right-sided, ball player, confident bringing the ball out of defence, etc. Not that tall though (1.67m).
He must be taller than that for a CB, no? Five foot five doesn't sound right for an international centre half if you ask me, you sure you didn't mean 1.87m Robbie? That would be far more like it.
I was being flippant, didn't mean that! Yes, a number of us have been saying that RvW has been looking sharper by the match. Wouldn't say it's a consensus though as mentioned above - some fans are idiots and think that if he doesn't score a goal a game he must be useless. Another player massively underrated for us, IMO, has been Elmander. Just because he doesn't score goals. Italian press saying this is a done deal - EUR2.5m Think that was a typo as you say. Alderweireld is definitely about 1.87, which is close to 6'2" - not Hangeland, but still pretty tall
Yep, a few sources saying this now. Here's one: http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...norwich-city-have-tied-up-defensive-signing-f
If it turns out to be true, I'm pretty happy with that. Price and wages will be reasonable, he's got plenty of experience, and brings more competition where we need it.
Monsieur Ciani sounds okay, if true And will bring competition there, In central defence, where part of the crew M. Turner is out for repair.
Ciani is only a half inch taller than Bassong who is 6'2" (1.89 to 1.87). Bennett is 1.88m and Turner 1.93m - 6'4" (the odd one out, I'd say!). He is described as being "known for his physical strength as well as speed across short distances". The speed might be the bigger factor, IMO.
Makes me think of that goal we conceded to the Swans when Bassong seemed to shrink to about 5ft 5 to get out jumped by dyer! Ha!
Getting conflicting info - where did you get that height for Ciani? Transfermarkt has the same heights for all the others, but lists Ciani as 1.92 Admittedly not a huge difference
Mine was from Wiki, Rob so I'd trust Transfermarkt over that, which would make him about the same as Turner. Well done you! A giant who's speedy over short distances could be very useful!
