Yup, but now Nicola has gone, that won't result in Mauricio getting the boot.

True, there's not a lot of loans around though and buying someone could be bad long term. I don't mind Maya to be fair, so for me he's worth a run of games. If there is a good deal out there for us, great, but no need for panic stations.

Just realised that's 19 teams in total, good job I don't have a maths exam on Wednesday. Oh wait.

Simon Peach saying that both Gaston and Dejan have suffered ankle ligament damage, with Gaston's worse. All will become clear tomorrow.

Certainly Gastons looked a lot worse and lucky it was not broken, Lovren was trod on, albeit on a vulnerable part of the ankle....Just hope they both get a speedy recovery in a World Cup year.

Don't get too excited, as I mentioned before, a bad ligament tear can take longer to fix that a clean break.

Ligament damage potentially way worse than a break, I have done my ankle ligaments, injured end of November and still in pain now !!! 2/3 months. If I did clean break would have been back by now.

Whatever you do, dont rush back. Done my ankle ligaments 15 years ago and came back too soon resulting in an op last November.

On the good side, players get better treatment than the rest of us. On the bad side, we count as recovered when we can walk...they need to be 100% recovered. I had a foot problem a year ago and I had physio once a fortnight (all I was allowed under the NHS)...chap who did it apologised as he said I really needed daily treatment for it to be effective. Still mustn't knock the NHS as my heart op is tomorrow (hurrah, at last) and I dread to think what that would have cost privately.

Fran coming round after op, "Doc, how is it? What's the recovery time!"

Doc, "Well Ms Littlecamera, you've had a big operation and you need to take your time, recuperate slowly and then I'm sure you'll be back to normal in a few days/weeks"

Fran, "No Doc, how the bloody hell is Dejan's ankle?"
