Rochdale are one of the better sides in this league and have a good chance of gaining promotion to Div1.

Reports suggests that we where lucky to be only 1-0 down at half-time, Gurrieri's red card made it inevitable that there would be no come back for Argyle.

Rochdale's mid-field ran the show and when the red card came Banton was a luxury we couldn't afford....he isn't yet showing any signs of the form he had last time here....maybe it's too early to expect him to perform.....but you do wonder why he was released and why he wasn't retained on loan ?

Picking themselves up after this drubbing is important....it will show if we have potential for the play-offs.

Banton is a funny player remember comenting last time he was here unless he is smacking them in there is not much else. Could be a hard decision for JS in the future but hoprfully not.

I saw the Gurreiri sending off on the BBC last night. What a travesty, why aren't the club appealing? I'll agree Gurreiri jumped at the man somewhat but with his back towards the defender. His arms were down as far as I could see and what injured the defender has the fact that he headed the top of Gurreiri's head rather than any assault the other way around. A possible yellow card but the only reason for a red was that the ref was surrounded by Rochdale players.

On a lighter note, please see about two thirds of the way down a helpful piece of Photoshop-ing by the BBC. If you couldn't imagine what an orange card would look like, your problems are solved.

Gurreiri's sending off looked a bit over the top.....not helped by the mass protest from Rochdale....have PAFC definately ruled out a query over it ?

Sin binning could be a good idea.....works in ice hockey....where they are quite violent with a offensive weapon (hockey stick) at times.

In theory sin binning seems a decent enough suggestion. It happens in Rugby and works well there but I wonder if football refs would be up to it in the same efficient way. Some of the refs I've seen have been absolutely pants at refing. In fact they could struggle to warrant the name at all. You mention the sending off above and in the same breath question the decision as warranted at all and why the ref gave it due to the pressure he was put under. The players are bad enough now with diving and injury feigning. How many decisions would be shown to be rubbish with sin binning. I kind of agree with the sentiment of adding it to the armoury but can see loads of cheating and wrong decisions happening as well to make me sceptical.
