Morning Everyone, Shares in GFH Capital have climbed to the highest in more than just under two years after disclosing details of the completion of the the takeover of Leeds United. The shares gained 9.6 per cent to Dh0.86 in Dubai, the highest close since March 2012. GFH will retain a 10 per cent holding in the club after completion of the deal, it said in a statement on the Dubai Financial Market website, without disclosing its value, citing a confidentiality agreement. What has happened to the other 15%? Duncan Castles has written a very interesting article about Ex Technical Director Gwyn Williams. During his seven years at Elland Road he was responsible for bringing in the talent to Elland Road, before Haigh got rid of him last year. He is in the process of joining Sunderland in a similar role. These are a list of some of his scouting finds, albeit some have come through the youth ranks. Fabian Delph £8.5m. Other academy talent £5.75m Robert Snodgrass £3m Max Gradel â¬2m (replaced by Danny Pugh for £500k). Danny Rose £1.2m Kasper Schmeichel £900k (replaced by Andy Lonergan for £150k). Adam Clayton was sold for £600k Luke Garbutt was sold for £700k My question is, why was he got rid of? It looks to me that he had done a fantastic job in finding young talent. Secondly, and this is Duncans point, what has happened to the 22m or so that has been recouped from the sales of these stars. The list does not include Becchio as we know what happened to that money. It will be interesting to see whether McDermott is forced to wait until the Summer to strengthen his squad, or whether he will go for broke now! It does seem that we need more of an overhaul rather then a couple more players.
Morning Elland and all. Wasn't Williams the low life that frequented the players toilets so he could listen in their conversations. He was Bates eyes and ears at the club so had to go same as harvey. Warnock in his book that said Williams did nothing in his time there. Adam Pope of BBC this morning saying deal has hit a snag and meeting of parties today to try and sort out. Who cares anymore? The problem of course is that GFH are potless and whilst the sale is held up or doesn't go through at all, another window goes by and we can't rule out the necessity of a sale at the end of it of a player to raise money for operating costs
Morning Elland. Interesting stuff, & I think the truth depends on whether or not you're a conspricy theorist or not. If you are, then the money would have disappeared into Sansburys in Monaco. If, like me, you're not, it would have gone into convring the difference between income and expenditure, and specifcally, covering part of the living the dream legacy; paying off players like Kewell who have long since left us. On why Williams was rmoved, maybe its simply down to a change of owners and Manager. Don't know.
Straight into the mire again: GFH as I've said countless times have done what's best for themselves and continue to do so. They have done nothing but wheel and deal shares since they took control. Haigh (A GFH employee) has bought in and sold on twice, noodles has done the same and all to make themselves personal profits. Haigh is fronting yet another takeover (Strange isn't it that a director of one company sets up another company to buy from himself, will he still be an employee of GFH) The deal should have happened weeks ago and its still hitting the buffers. I dont trust any of them as its plain to me they are in it for cash and nothing to do with loving the club. Haigh is a nicer PR version of Bates in my eyes and skint. £22m went stright into FSF bank accounts and is all down to the bent/illegal way that FSF and Bates stole the club out of administration. FSF all of a sudden were owed £19m and they said as long as Bates stayed in control they would forget the debt!!!!! ....... well folks our accounts for the last 5 seasons showed an operating loss without counting player sales ...... FSF get back the £19m and a £3m interest fee and then decide to sell, funny that isn't it, how KPMG allowed this spurious deal to take place, as if anyone would forget a £19m debt!!! it was obvious FSF were going to rape the club to get their money back, because they knew that going down the correct creditor route would have seen them get pennies in the pound. No these twats got all of their money and a few million more. Yet some believe Bates saved us. Williams job was to find talent and let bates sell it for big profits and I would put a bullet betwen his ears before praising the bent coont
Correct Elland and considering whats taking over will be likely no better than what we've had even if they manage it. For too long. Leeds fans have believed the spin they were fed, since Risdales day. Too many fans believing next year will be our year and the dodgy dealings somehow won't affect the team. Well it has done and is continuing to do so. Yet another proven manager with his hands tied behind his back and unable to do his job because of behind the scenes shenanigans. Limited to signing rubbish or second rate loanees same as previous managers. And to think, according to some, this is an improvement
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25811273 We were supposed to be getting Danny Graham well thats now been highjacked and Forest dont mind spending millions
Is Haigh delaying the sale to himslef till the transfer window closes? Can just see how this meeting that is supposed to be happening will unfold - Picture the scene 1 table, 2 chairs and Haigh asking a question before running around the desk to answer it
Morning all, over two thirds of the way through the transfer window no takeover and two loan signings who have failed to impress while we the fans sit and watch decent targets joining other clubs, some things never change.
Morning Elland, Chairman Noorruddin owns 10%, which is separate to the 10% GFH will retain after selling 75%, so that leaves 5% unknown
A few more defeats and the get Maccer out brigade will pipe up, he'll go and then it'll all start again. E.R should be renamed Duffys circus in respect to all the clowns running the club and the comedy value we give to opposition fans.
I'm almost getting to the end of worrying anymore as I along with many of you have suffered for 10-years. many of you are not happy about things but are accepting the status quo. I'm going to be fooking off if this shambles doesn't get sorted out in days and the future prospects of the club are not improved and seen to be improved. They've lost me shortly as I'm sick to death of being shat on by sking, greedy, selfish bastards. Suppose I'm a plastic
GFH sold 75% of their share not the total which gives them about 65% stake in leeds Utd. 10% GFH 10% BinLaden 15% short fall
Probably the funniest thing in football is Crystal Palace avoiding certain relegation under Tony Pullis and Stoke getting relegated instead because they sacked Tony Pullis in favour of Mark Hughes. Palace now 2 points clear of the drop zone and Stoke only 4 points clear, but every week Palace take another step up. A few weeks ago they were dead and buried ...... Mighty how do you see Holloway making a difference after his debacle at palace where he cried like a girl
Morning ... Duncan Castles should fcuk off, why is he bigging up Williams who helped stitch up our club? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Doc us wall fans are a pretty easy going bunch we dont demand success we just like to see wall battle a bit and have a go and from Holloway i think thats what we will get and following the ginger cringer is deffo a massive possitive for me
