The trouble is there's a few who say they've been supporting the club for x amount of years who want instant success and when we hit a slump it's a knee jerk reaction " sack the manager, buy players" as if that solve the problems overnight The stadium has it's fair proportion of fair weather "fans" that was evident on Sunday .Sometimes you have to play your way out of problems and come together as a group, if that can't or won't happen then more drastic measures are taken ,but anyone to suggest we sack the manager now early needs to take a reality check .imo
Happens at every club when you get better. The atmosphere at our ground's **** in games that our fans expect us to win, so many just sit their nervously waiting for us to take the lead so they can relax and if we don't they start grumbling about the players/manager/chairman. It's similar away from matches too, we used to take a lot of pride in qualifying for Europe but now some fans say they'd rather not be in Europe at all if we're not in the CL. Personally I'm enjoying where we are at the moment, the CL might be the big target that we keep missing but we're a lot better than we we were for most of my Spurs supporting life. Football fans are getting more fickle these days and I think it's because we're confuse success with enjoyment. I enjoy games far more when the atmosphere's good, regardless of the result but some are just in it for the results and the bragging rights.
