steady on DTLW. She may change her mind at a later date or adjust her views. She has said for now, no-one sold, club not sold. There is no problem if she changes her mind in the future. It's a bit like the journos writing that MP said he'll go if NC goes ... forgetting to mention that he said it last May. Time can change peoples view.
My point being, I have no reason to disbelieve her. She currently has no plans to sell us. If she does, I can hardly complain. Look at what her father's legacy has done for this football club. I just hope that when this day rolls around, we are passed into safe hands.
I agree. I think some people can't see past Cortese. I would like to think KL can keep the club going as well as it has been and possibly without spending kaboodles of £ to get there as fast as possible. We should be building something here properly not trying fast track methods and not haveing the foundations to sustain it. Blackburn as used before is a very good example.
If, as the press are becoming confident of, Shaw goes to Chelsea (even if it is post dated to end of season) what price can you put on her words? Lets hope we are just a bunch of worry guts!
She is certainly doing and saying all the right things. I like that it seems to be done with minimal fuss; how very Swiss and re-assuring. What is it they say about a good swiss watch?
So what if he does. She said no one is being sold now. If we decide to sell Shaw in the summer that is a different story. Crikey, we will sell someone again, at some point. I don't think she meant forever.
If shaw does go to Chelsea in the summer, we should take cash plus Ryan Bertrand. I would be happy with him. Hopefully by then young Targett will be able to deputise.
Now that the dust has settled...... KL advisors would have told her that a company that is now worth £150m should have A chairman/chairwoman, chief ex, directors etc to all agree what is the best way forward for the business. This is normal business practice. Even when the club was brought for £15 M ish this would be the norm. It was just ML trust in NC to run it himself. The Club now and has been for the last 3 years belonged to KL. I'm sure if she is as switched on as her Family are then all is fine. As for people claiming she doesn't even like football? So what I'm sure she isn't a train spotter on goes looking at cranes in the docks either! She is a Business Woman and NC could have stayed, he probably didn't like the fact he was now going to have to share the running of the Business. Everyone get behind the Liebherr's.
Like Pochettino said we won't sell anyone that we don't want to. I guess you could say that if Pochettino thinks he can improve the side with whatever Shaw was sold for then it qualifies within this statement.
Problem with that is, if he wants to go, he'll go, and I doubt Cortese could have persuaded him to stay if he's set his mind on Chelsea. We can't pay Chelsea wages and despite how over-exited some of us may have become earlier this season, it's unlikely we'll be able to offer Champions League any time soon. At least if he does go we can make Chelsea pay through the nose. edit; I'll be extremely surprised if he goes this month though.
Don't think Luke is actively seeking a move...the loss of Nicola might affect him, but keeping MP is a positive sign. I think he should stay for another season and then we can cash him in to purchase other players. Like to keep him, but we must be realistic.
