Back in training but for Kaboul that means another injury on the cards!

Well done Spurs, you won comfortably in the end. I thought we dominated for the first half hour and could have had a couple of goals, but you got the first and I'm afraid our heads went down after that. Good luck for the rest of the season - and fingers crossed I hope to be at White Hart Lane next year :emoticon-0114-dull:

Do you think the Europa may have to be ditched in order that Swansea don't get sucked into the relegation mire ??

    <ok>.

We were very indifferent at the start of the game and for a long while we were sloppy. So often in football the first goal has an influence on the outcome and it did today. You are far too good to go down, but it does look as if continued involvement in the Europa may be a hindrance to you. I wish Swansea good fortune, it's a tough league this season and I hope you get what your positive approach to playing football deserves.

Laudrup mentioned pre match the games after this would be games where you have to pick up points as they are against teams around you. There does look to be a confidence missing from your team but I certainly hope you don't get dragged into relegation.

No lack of confidence Boss, just a lack of commitment -but thanks for the good wishes. Think some have mistakenly thought we are too good to get sucked into a relegation dogfight, but we are well and truly in the mix! We have the quality to avoid relegation, but do we have the spirit? Think we will learn a lot about our team in the next few weeks but good luck to Spurs - really hope you get a top 4 finish!

I did think there was a lack of confidence in seeing through your chances but fair enough if you say otherwise and put it down to commitment as you know your team.

It's just so tight down there so I get the worry. I remember the days when we used to worry about getting dragged into relegation but we always pulled away and I hope you also have the fight to stay safe.

Thanks mate, we tend to be slow starters at the moment - can't afford to be like that vs City next Weds! - I think you guys just need a few players to return. Michu is superb and any team would miss his quality, Dyer and Hernandez are also two of the league's most consistent wingers. The commentator on the stream I watched kept mentioning how you guys may be sucked into a relegation battle, I think it's bollocks. Once a few lads are back you'll climb the table no doubt. Though I think you may need to sacrifice Europa.

George Graham was an extreme northerner (or, come the end of this year, foreigner...)

On their salaries they should be able to get a phone/camera that takes a better photo than that.

I'm always a little surprised when a manager seems to agree with my ideas about formation and tactics--and really shocked when it turns out well. I would have called it a 4-4-1-1, with Eiriksen in the old VDV role behind Ade, but in any case, that looked like a decent team, albeit one that started badly: speed and size on the wings, possession and strength in the center, creativity and goals up front, a good keeper. The relatively weak link is the Chiriches-Dawson partnership; I think Vertonghen and either one would be better. But they haven't done too badly.

Swansea will be fine (I feel confident in saying since I'm not emotionally invested in them). They weren't as good as they seemed for the first half of last year, and shouldn't be struggling as much as they are now. I'm having my doubts about Laudrup, though. Swansea play attractively and look good, but are both not scoring much and are vulnerable to counterattack. I would try something different if I were him; not playing negatively, but maybe doing more sitting back and trying to counterattack.

The margins between winning and losing are very thin, and confidence, or belief, will usually make a difference. Some kind of a shakeup, not necessarily a big one, would be good for Swansea just to give players the feeling that they've put the past behind them and are moving onto something new, IMO. Always change a losing game.

Swansea would be unlucky to go down. I think Wet Spam and Fulham are pretty certain for the drop so Swansea just have to dodge the other place. I have a feeling Stoke may book that one.
