Well, that's what a lot of the Hootun-Out camp would try to have you believe, however it doesn't sound much like it to me, in fact it sounds quite the opposite which is great to hear.

This is is also a superb response to the ridiculous notion that was suggested on a thread the other day that our "predicament" is in some part down to the fans not making themselves heard with protests and match-day demonstrations against the manager. I didn't get involved in that particular thread, but I thought it complete nonsense at the time and Ryan Bennett's comments here only further confirm what I was thinking <ok>

You´re very kind, sir :emoticon-0111-blush, but very much like our Premier League games at the moment, content is what´s important, style, perhaps less so. The sooner we can win a few more, the likelier it is, style will appear automatically.

I hope the players are behind Hughton.

One thing you have to give to Hughton is when we NEED a result he always pulls it out the bag. If the team can build around that then I think we will be ok.

    Agreed.

Be nice to get results when we don't need them too, though! Constant nervousness is exhausting!

lawro said exactly this on his predictions this week, about chris pulling results out of the bag when he really needed it

Not that I've ever thought there was a split in the camp I wouldn't have been surprised if certain players weren't lets say giving there all?
But Bennett's hardly going to come out and say otherwise when asked that question is he?

His response wasn't prompted by a question, he had clearly chosen to talk about the banner that the players saw (and clearly though ridiculous) in the interview. He didn't need to mention it at all, but the fact he did and the fact he chose to talk about the solidarity in the camp shows me that there nothing to worry about on that front.

    Sorry about that.

Certainly good to have the players come out and say how they feel, especially when they've seen banners calling fir the managers head. It can't be helpful to confidence because they know THEY aren't getting the results and that's put Hughton under pressure!

I'm pleased not sorry, you guys seem to think we Hooton outers want total destruction of the club from the foundations upwards !!
In reality we just want a change of manager.
One installed with a bit of know how, style & ideas?

Good lad RB, and good on him for coming out and saying this. Little dig at the fans (some) not getting behind the team and he is certainly right there. Hopefully the fans will now get behind the team and create a great atmosphere for the remaining matches. Surely that can only help our situation? Rather then making it worse through all the grumbling and negative attitudes.

Lawro has been irritatingly spot on with most of his predictions about us this season. I'm beginning to give him begrudging respect.

If that continues, I believe it means that we will be safely mid-table again, so not all bad.

Lots of threads start with "The Hootun outers want to sneak into your house and fart on your pillow as you sleep they will only stop when NCFC is erased from history BEWARE the evil Chris Houghton outers at all cost " to try and make a flaccid point.
If the manager isn`t winning a few games and his players can`t score with his tactics then something needs to change, that is logical but turning it into a holy war and forcing people to choose whether they are inners= blind faith outers=inpatient is a very small village round up a mob with flaming torches mentality.
For me if we keep above the bottom 3 i am an inner if we drop to the bottom 3 then i`m an outer and i`m sure i will flip flop a few times before the season ends.
I also don`t judge either camp on their opinions both are equally valid. O T B C

It's a little bit too close for comfort in my opinion, what annoys me is we always do things the hard way we could make it a lot more easier if we played with the passion we've shown in a handful of games this season.

The results against Fulham were dire. To loose at home to a team with the worst defensive record in the Prem was unbelievable. Then to go away to Craven Cottage and ship three goals in the FA Cup was probably even worse than the home defeat. Of course fans will question how well motivated the squad really are. Is it the manager they can't get on with or is it other, less publicised, reasons they they are playing below par? The win against Hull was vey late on and took a CB to score it. If the team are really behind CH then we will see evidence of this in the games against Newcastle and Cardiff.
