Why? Because they're all 'coming here and taking our jobs'? You're allowed to move elsewhere in Europe too and claim benefits. In France, if you lose your job, you're entitled to 80% of your salary before tax for 2 years. Not including housing benefits. It's not the europeans fault you choose to stay in ****ty scotland
You're reading what you want into my posts ... We're not debating crimanls... But if you want, full criminal background checks should also be done... and any conviction bars you from UK.
You clearly stated above: I'm merely pointing out to you that the evidence shows this to be bullshit.
You're argumenst is invalid as you live in London ... A bigger ****hole than Scotland with more ****s in it ...
People do that all the time, obviously. And not getting the dole won't make any difference. No **** gets the dole in the USA and people are still queuing up to get in. The dole's a red herring because proportionately very few immigrants claim it. Surprised you didn't know that.
My good mate just moved to London from Glasgow, after being here for 9 years (He's Northern Irish of Indian descent), and he ****ing loves. I couldn't live there though. As an Ex Pat living in the ME, I can't possibly comment on immigrants either.
So, there are no ****s out there who came here with **** all and sign on/get state benefits... none at all. Great to hear, I stand corrected. I'll say it again ... Benefits are not a right ... They are there to help those in genuine in need. This apply to immigrants and "locals".
I think it's a publicity generating red herring which won't make much of a difference since nobody really turns up and starts claiming benefits instantly anyway. So aye, just to get it out of the news we should ban it - and to get around EU blocks on banning it all that needs done is to also ban other Britons who have not made so many months National Insurance contributions in the past.
How ****ing ridiculous is that? To get a job somewhere, you need a flat. To get a flat somewhere, you need some money. Let's say you have just moved here and instantly got a job. You still need to survive for a month before your first paycheck. Wages are lower in Poland than they are here, so they'd struggle to pay it all up front. Also, with no full-time job, you generally have to pay 6 months upfront. You can't ban all immigrants from getting housing benefit. Just do it the other way round, you're allowed housing benefit for 3months/6months, if you haven't got a job or at least proved you've tried then they're cut off. I'd do that for UK citizens too
Yes, but I was arguing with Pud about people coming here and getting jobs in places like Greggs. I'm sure the lassie who serves him his double cheese and onion pasty came here with very little but with commitment and an endeavour to do well. With an aggressive anti-immigrant party like UKIP in power how many people like her are going to want to come to this country?
It's got more in it, Yes. But still a ****hole full of ****s. How many time syou been in Scotland ... None, oh I see! Typical mockney!
Because they're not in the Eurozone. Europe is about facilitating the movement of goods and people around Europe, it's that simple. We pay less import/export taxes, which allows us to bring in nicer stuff than we can grow/produce here for cheaper. We get to go on holiday without faffing around for visa stuff. We get to live anywhere in Europe, claim benefits, use their health systems, move in, etc without any major complications. How do you expect someone to get a job in the UK without being here? Unless they're a banker or something like that? Immigration should not be only for the rich, that's a ****ed up system.
