Very true. Norwich are a decent side. The mackems have improved. Derby is a lottery, you only have to look at the last one. We should have taken something from that game and didn't.

 

I would like to see a, more or less, 4-2-3-1 as follows:

Krul; Debuchy, MYM, Willo, Santon; Anita, Tiote; Sissoko, Cabaye, Ben Arfa; Remy.

I genuinely think, the way we play, this is more or less (Colo aside) our best XI, best formation, best identity, etc.

 

Really hope Saylor is dropped.

 

Would agree with that although I expect Pards will start with Saylor (for MYM) and Gouf (for HBA) instead.

 

Gouffran to start and HBA to come on against tired legs near the end.

 

And we can bring new signings Messi and Ronaldo on for 10 minutes each at the end to give Sissoko and Cabs a little break. Still heartbroken that it will involve swap deals for Shola and Obertan though.

 

No doubt. I just think putting HBA in from the start throws a curve ball. If it doesn't work, swap at half time.

 

It's certainly the kind of game he could thrive in. With Norwich at home they are likely to push on, which gives him the kind of space he enjoys on the counter-attack.

 

Shola and Obertan plus the £30m was too much of a temptation for Ashley, he just couldn't resist that offer.

 

I'd start with the same team bar MYM coming out for Debuchy. I think Pards will play MYM over Saylor though. Couldn't drop Gouf for HBA myself. Far too risky.

 

MYM deserves to start over Saylor for me.

MYM arguably never deserved to be dropped in the first place. He cost us 8.5m and has all the physical attributes to be a top, top defender in this league. he just needs experience so could be argued that given the fact that we'll finish no lower than 9th that for long term gain he should play every game at CB when fit for the remainder of the season.

 

Saylor is in possession now though. He deserves to play for me because he was superb at the weekend and Man C. MYM is a victim of his versatility. He did well but Pardew was proved right with dropping Colo back in. Personally I wanted to make him wait but results speak for themselves. Then unfortunately for MYM, Debuchy gets sent off at the same time as Colo gets injured. Both him and Saylor get their chance and MYM is quite rightly used to right back. To then drop Saylor for MYM seems wrong to me but I just have a feeling Pardew doesn't really rate Saylor that highly.

 

I'm easily confused. . Are you saying MYM should start or Saylor?
