And if he was , he did not rush it , even warned the family about the Venkeys , then left when the owners sold to them . My point being , if his ultimate duty is to sell the club , he will make sure it goes to the best group possible .
Another plus point is that he would have overseen the rise of the Blackburn academy which has been pretty successful in recent times. Phil Jones being an obvious stand out
Great as John Williams the composer is, and I agree he is a genius, I must admit that the other musical John Williams, the classical guitarist, is more of a hero. Here he is playing one of my favourites, Recuerdos de la Alhambra by Francisco Tarrega: How one person can possibly play all those notes is astonishing.

This sort of strikes me as like the difference between two relationships - with Nicola at the helm, we were going out with the incredibly exciting girl/boy (for purposes of this analogy I shall be using girl from hereon) that was the envy of your friends and fishy neighbours. It was a seat-of-the-pants experience and the sky seemed to be the limit. However, you never *quite* fully trusted her, and along with the adrenaline fuelled excitement came the fear that you'd come home one night to find she'd skinned the dog. Williams however is the type of girl that you could take home to meet your mum. The steady relationship with a girl that feels happier at home on the sofa reading a book with you than out getting the covetous glances in the nightclub. She's the one you should marry. However you can't help but now and again remember the excitement of Nicola, cast a slightly longing glance toward whatever he does next. It's just a feeling, but I think with Williams we'll not be charging headlong into Europe. He'll be a steadying influence (I suspect it'll mean that Poch's job is actually a lot safer now) rather than a flash spender. However with the Academy players getting better and better we'll be a worrier of the top 6 now and again, but I'm not sure that we'll necessarily be able to keep some of our more ambitious players with talk of a drive for the Champions League. I could of course be utterly, hopelessly and completely wrong. KL could have great plans for us. But I think we've got mid-table security on the agenda for a few years now (unless of course that naughty Nicola lady comes back to the dancefloor......)
Love the fact you're all inside her head now! No one knows the first thing about her intentions, or how compassionate she is. Didn't Williams help oversee the Venky's takeover at Blackburn before bowing out? (edit - seen that was already mentioned: but I'd add that just because he wasn't there to exclusively oversee the sale, doesn't mean he isn't attractive because of his sale experience). I like the potential appointment, though, from what I hear about the guy.
Or warn Katarina about the complete sub-standardness of the highest bidders, and quit when she sells to them.
