If we can get three of these 4 back we will be OK - Michu, Der Hernandez & JDG

After 22 games last season we had 30 points and sat in 8th place. We finished last season on 46 points, so we gained 16 points from the last 16 games.

Put another way, over the last 38 PL matches - equivalent to a season (I know it does not mean that we have played everyone twice) - we have gained 37 points. Wigan went down last year with 36 points.

    Doesn't make for good reading.

The next 4 games are huge. 8 or 9 points and we will all feel more comfortable. 2 or 3 points would suggest that Dai did have a valid perspective.

Let's see where we are at end of Feb. We are only 3 from relegation but 2 from 10th. The bottom half is crazy this year but I expect a gap to open up by March. Hopefully, we will be fine, but injuries are hurting us and Jenkins needs to let ML bring in a few players. We've just come off a run of very difficult games but now have to ensure we get point from the next 3 games...7 points minimum IMO

I personally think that it wont matter who we bring in or if everyone was fit because we will still play exactly the same way that gives fans a false impression that we are playing well because we can keep the ball in our possession longer than anyone else. We have played this way now for nearly a year with very little success and we never change the style only the players....The team we had out today was enough to win at home but Tim Sherwood out thought laudrup which has not been that difficult to do this season to have less possession and more shots on target and get the goals and 3 points to take back to London. Every other manager who we have to play will be looking forward to playing us as they will know exactly how to beat us as we always play the same negative football with no change and they have their training practice all mapped out for them....

I thought Swansea got off to a really good start today and caused Spurs all sorts of problems.

But as the match wore-on, Tottenham began to assert themselves and I think probably deserved the win overall.

I'm sure Swansea will get back on track once your injured players start coming back and there's more than enough quality to ensure you should be safe from relegation.

Got to say I'm shocked that some of you guys are talking about sacking Laudrup, he's a quality manager. You've had a tough run of games and injuries but the performances have generally been played well, your game against City was one of the best I've seen this season.

You guys didn't pass well enough today and I don't think you created many chances other than shooting from distance. It's a familiar kind of game for us under Sherwood though. Southampton and United both found out the hard way that we don't always need to be firing all cylinders to be dangerous, we pretty much scored with our first chances against them too and from then on we played like a different team. The trouble for you guys is we're very well suited to the sort of sweeping counter attacks you saw today and we're also good at breaking up attacks early, which I think happened a few times today. Mostly though, I think you suffered from coming up against Adebayor who was completely unplayable, it happend sometimes.

Anyway, bad day for you guys but I'm sure you'll be well away from the drop zone soon enough. Good luck with the rest of the season <ok>

If he is quality then what was martinez and rodgers and sousa, world class. I wish he was quality and showed it. My grandmother has more quality and she has been dead for years.

You really are something else! Pretty low and inappropriate comment tbh.

What exactly would you have done today to change things Dai? Tactics, players ...what? Getting off your arse and shouting at the players ain't what I'm looking for either. With the bare bones ML has to work with I can't see what could have been changed today.

For 30mins we were very good but lost it after that...made worse when JJS went off. What would you or BR, or RM, or PS done differently?

I'll wait patiently for your words of wisdom<cheers>

Dai, If you cannot make a post without insulting, then don't bother. This is your first warning.

No-one here has insulted you, disagreed with your opinion yes, insulted no, so less of it.

I know its hard to listen too but that is the reality im afraid. Its not going to go away or disappear or get any better while laudrup is the manager. Lets face the facts here.....I know i wont be going to the liberty very many games next season but i still don't want us to go down all the same, If we do then we do and it wont be any skin off my nose as I will watch the swans on the internet whatever league they are in. I have achieved my ambition of following them from the bottom to the top and back down to the bottom again and now back to the top.So at the end of the day it dont matter anymore what division we are in. It would be nice not to be in this position but we are and i dont want my last season after 54 years to be a relegation season but the way laudrup is running things then we both could witness relegation on our last season with the swans. How ironic would that be...

We've played Spurs , ManU twice, Man City , Villa , Chelsea and Everton in our last 7 games . All 7 games are against top 7 teams except for Villa who are 10th.We did that with massive injuries , Europa and the Christmas rush of games. In that whole melee we played pretty well . Fairly obvious better times are ahead. PS We all know what you mean dai , you just need to work on your metaphoring a bit

YOU MIGHT THINK I'M A TWAT.......... I MIGHT BE A TWAT........BUT I GET YOU THINKING AND WHEN YOU DO YOU FIND I AM A TWAT!

How's that for an insult Dai; not posted here for a while because of the petty infighting and derailing of threads from people with more interest in their own ego's than football debate. In fairness to Dai, it is not always his fault as posts from others tend to ignite his hatred of Swansea and he just can't help himself! But thought it might be fun to get a ban from this forum - have read comments on other 606 sites and this one is becoming a bit of a laughing stock so please ban me! ;)

How do the pundits on MOTD manage to miss out our penalty shout altogether....we were on top and it would have changed the game.
Even their commentator stated it was a clear penalty and commented on how close to it the referee was!

If that was a big club they would have spent a couple of minutes discussing that and ridiculing the referee.
