Are you really doing better than before? Even under AVB you were stringing wins together and were pretty much in the same position you're in now, in the top 6. It's not like you were 10th and had no chance of top 4 with AVB this season, even until November and early December there was talk of Spurs being outside title challengers. AVB's downfall came because you got your asses handed to you by two top sides in Liverpool-City, generally though, he wasn't producing mediocre results week in week out.
Wonder what the little boy inside RVP is thinking now? United really do look a lot like Arsenal of seasons gone by, nice football, but lack of clinical finishing-passes in the box, and general sloppy defending when it matters. The only current player in the United starting line up that I'd consider for Arsenal is Adnan, maybe Vidic too, as our 4th choice CB.
I bet by the time we play Man Utd, RVP and Rooney are back and ready to play. It would be just our luck.

Looking at the next round of fixtures in the PL, it looks like we are going to need a favour from Spurs. They need to beat City, because at the moment City are like a steam train just blasting their way to wins, and it worries me big time. Can the Spuds stop City or are they in for another trashing?
City play Spurs-Chelsea back-back, them dropping 5 points from both games would be great. Will be interesting to see if Mo's negative tactics can bear fruit when he takes Chelsea to the Etihad. It's important we keep doing our thing as well, need maximum points against both Southampton-C.Palace before we face Liverpool-United back-back, if we can get 10 points out of 12 from the next 4 games, that would be great! We really should be beating United, similar to how Chelsea brushed them aside today.
Expect Jose to go in with three DM's for that game. If City manage to trash them as well then, you got to fear them big time and they would be odds on to win the title.
And we play Palace at home, while City and Chelsea go head to head. That round of fixtures was very kind to us.
