Reading the gossip this morning and now United intend to purchase Sanchez with a price tag rangeing between 34m to 44m, would it be not safer to purchase Ashley Young whos a proven player in the Prem and also cheaper?
Could be to replace Berbatov, who SAF clearly doesnt trust in big games. His versatility is an added bonus, great player, I for one would be delighted if we got him.
Yes i agree over the Berbatov remark, but hes a winger and i think we have enough wingers if Ash comes to UTD, id prefer a proven striker to replace Berb but SAF isnt stupid that way.
I sounds like it is all in place for him to sign when he returns from holiday. I don't think there is anything in the Sanchez deal at all. I just think it is either his agent or club releasing bits of information to try and get Citeh to meet the asking price.
Young is a good player, no doubt but if it was a choice between the two(I dont think it is it will be Berba or Nani who leaves), for me there would only be one winner.Players like Sanchez are what Footballs all about and more importantly what Manchester United are all about IMO, sheer off your seat fantasy Football, its what made us world famous and I`m all for sticking to what we are, an attacking team.
Don't need him, don't want him and he would cost too much. Ashley Young is proven in this league and I think he will step up big time with better players around him. I've watched Sanchez a few times and he seems like a bit of a show pony. We don't need that. We already have Nani!
We cant afford him but Liverpool can afford a £35million waster on a flop called Carroll? Makes sense, how do you know United cant afford him?
Well he hardly comments or bothers with the Liverpool forums but hes contanstly on this forum, strange for a scouser who hates the mancs?!
ive seen him play attacking central mid,and he hasnt been anywhere as good as on the wing or as a forward. m getting slightly anxious now,it looks like nasri, sneijder and modric are all unattainable (for us anyway) and yet we keep buying/being linked with players in almost every other position (especially ones we are extremely strong in).i cant help but feel we'll have to run out of money soon, and we could still be short in CM when that happens.
You all said we couldn't sign anyone, and yet David de Gea looks likely to sign, by all accounts Young will join on return from holiday and Jones has already signed. Anyway Udinese to City. Hardly a step up; is it?
