Come on!! Yes, we weren't great but we were playing a team gunning for the top 4 and who spent over £100 million on transfers. And bear in mind that we were lacking VORM, DYER, MICHU, CANAS, PABLO and others - that's half a team!!! Then Shelvey went off injured. We had Amat playing out of position and the whole balance and shape of the team has been disrupted. Not Laudrup's fault.

He didn't expect to win this game and hinted as much. Time to worry if we don't get much from the next few games. Just think on. We were denied a clear penalty (by another thieving referee), Bony hit the bar and we conceded an unlucky own goal. Had we had the breaks when we needed them, the whole team would have played with more confidence and it could have been a different result. It also didn't help that a few of our players had 'mares. Davies, Pozuelo and Amat (understandably) didn't help the cause, Routledge was pants and Lamah, when he came on, was the pits.

Sure, we've got it all to do but let's not panic just yet.

I must have been watching a different game to some of you because I thought Ben Davies was one of our best players today. Ash was poor.

Same here. Ash just jogged back for the third goal. Should have been busting a gut to get back.

Pozuelo was awful. Lost the ball nearly every time. At the mo an impact player at best.

Yeah I watched your game as well. After Bony I thought Davies was your best player. You cant blame him for the 3rd you were chasing the game and there was a lack of urgency from a number of your players. Davies was one of the players who looked up for it.

Huw better get that cheque book out tomorrow because if Shelvey is out then were in the 5hit. If he has no faith in using Vasquez to try and get something out of the game or his stubborn refusal to give Donnelly a crack. Then we need to be doing our deals now not last minute we need players now.

Well Well what can you say...Same old Same old. Loads of possession and less shots on target than the opposition. Ben davies played well and leon as well. Bony was unlucky to hit the post but thats the good parts. the rest was that spurs were in control from start to finish, they like other teams watch us pass the ball about going nowhere just biding their time for the sloppy pass that would evidently come when you pass the ball too much. I looked to the dug out and as usual all you see is laudrup sitting there clueless giving absolutely zero motivation to his side that were made to look second class...Would Sousa do that let alone Martinez and Rodgers..NO...This is really bad management skill however much some try to defend laudrup. We had a strong team out there today even with injuries and i bet you any money you care to place that Martinez and Rodgers would have engineered a win today just by motivation alone. Fans now are resigned to losing at home against the so called bigger clubs and that has escalated to the players and everyone that is involved with Swansea city....We were never like this in the past and We believed we could beat anyone at home. That has all disappeared and we look like a team going nowhere other than down and im sorry if you don't like it but that comes right down at laudrups door and nobody else s. Its a dam shame....You can see by the players faces that we are in big trouble and on laudrups you see a manager who has lost his way big time...His motivation attitude will take us down and any other club that values their premiership status would have sacked him by now....

Anyone could attack from Davies spot and look great in the attack , but with his defensive responsibilities abandoned and Lamah without a defensive bone in his body , we were lucky not to let in a half dozen when they were paired up . Attacking isn't Davies problem , he actually great at it, it' just that he doesn'have a clue when to and when not to.

Not for me. His forays forward did not disguise the fact that his defending was poor. He was often out of position and bypassed too easily. Also, he does NOT have the pace to get back quick enough when we lose the ball up field. He should remember that his first job is to DEFEND. For me, Taylor is the better defender. I would maybe select Davies against the "lesser" teams for his go-forward but Taylor should start against teams who are going to attack us more.

same old, same old from you Dai! - Spurs werent even in the game for the first 30 mins nevermind being in control, we created all the chances and should have had a penalty. we were chasing it in the 2nd and thats tough against a quality side. we ll see what Laudrup is about in the coming weeks but we all need to get behind the boys and especially the fans in the ground

You see how deluded you are exile and you are not the only one either. We have seen 22 games now and if you cant work out what is wrong then i don't know what to say to you, i really don't...the same excuses every week we hear as we slowly sink further and further and its what i said Same old same old that is clearly not working and never will...For us to have any chance of getting better then laudrup had better start showing some managerial skills especially in motivating his team or we should get rid and find someone who can before it's to late...The clock is ticking...

Great post exile , we'll see where we are by the end of feb, when injuries and opponents will lessen . Our season is at a crossroads now , got a pretty good feeling we'll get it right , we have had to much talent and bad luck to go backwards now .

Any idea how long Shelvey will be out? I think you'll miss him a lot.

deluded? - i dont think so Dai. Laudrup is no god for me (i would also like to see him get more animated) but i appreciate the good job he has done here. we had an excellent season last year so whats changed, are we are worse team? - for me no - we have had a series of crippling long term injuries (including our key players Michu, Dyer and Vorm) and the Euro campaign has taken its toil. These are not excuses, just the way it is

Watched your game and I thought you were on top for the first 20 to 30 minutes but the team seemed to fall to pieces and give up after their first goal with the exceptin of Bony.
Laudrup doesn't seem to get excited or animated about anything, didn't budge when the winner went in against manure in the cup.

I know we only had a couple of players on the pitch that put in a shift today, and Bony was my man of the match, thought Ben Davies had a good game, but defensively he is weak at the moment, as for our CB's well the less said the better, Chico in particular is really starting to get on my nerves with his poor defending, and getting caught out of position. The worst is hopefully over, and I expect us now to start putting points on the board, with many players due back from Injury.

When you consider the poor planning regarding Ki from both Laudrup and Jenkins, with Laudrup displaying some very poor judgement in not getting Ki back, and Jenkins not even knowing the details correctly of the recall deadline, and the fact that they are not communicating well, just adds to our injury woes. This was a season that had such high expectations considering the great season Michu had last year, and with the signing of Bony, you would never have guessed we were going to have a job staying up, but it's time now for Laudrup to show what he's made of, time for him to get of his arse and show that he's no spectator, time to start winning games, and it had better start with the next game!.......<ok>

These players don't need a shouting manager on the sideline, they need injured players back Like michu, dyer Hernandez, JDG, Vorm all having a run together or a couple of new signings!!!

When you see the list it's obvious why we're struggling and there has been no consistency in team selection either! Sooner we see a line up like this:

    Vorm
    Rangel, Amat, Ash, Davies
    Britton, JDG
    Dyer, MICHU, Hernandez
    Bony

The better because most of this season we've been playing with a seriously weakened team

Well im not going to argue about it. I think we are nowhere near as good as past seasons even without the so called better players now and i think that is all down to laudrup and his inexperience in top flight football that he obviously don't have. Will we go down?? well how long is a piece of string but we are not where we are for being a good side....But the point is that with the players we have then managers like martinez and rodgers would not have had us in this position, They would have been on that touch line shouting instructions and motivating our players on. Laudrup just sits there doing sod all every single game. we are where we are because of the manager as he does not know how to change things when something is not working. I wont say anymore about it now as i cant put it anymore clearer...The chances are greater of going down with laudrup than without. the results and table don't lie and enough is enough.....And don't think for one minute i am the only one saying this because its only on here that fans think laudrup is doing great...Well that's your opinion but you are well in the minority now and if you think different you were not at the liberty today listening to everyone as we left the stadium...

I thought chico was pretty good today , especially earlier with some crucial last man tackles. He was spread thin today cover other defenders responsibles. I guess we all see things different . The game went to pot when the Shelvey change happened imo
