Erik-sen-sen-sen He's our number 23 Erik-sen-sen-sen Came to play for Sherwoodie To the left, to the right He's our midfield dynamite When he plays in lilywhite He makes Ozil look ****e
Tim Sherwood, based on consecutive away victories, the most successful Spurs manager since Billy Nick.
Does Adebayor deserve his pay rise yet Lol Sherwood must be getting to know the players by now and they must like his voice
Great win, well done Sherwood Just worth noting that AVB won 2 of the 5 straight away wins that the commentators were crediting Sherwood for. Maybe they can share the credit
Oh and fair play to Dembele, he has my unreserved apology for having a go at him, his miss has given me a correct score in the prediction leagues
Take the 3 pts, given Citeh are next. But still so much better basic play to be demanded over the 90 mins from this squad.
I'm finiding it hard to fault our defence, I thought they did really well today. Plus we won, dance with me RDBD!
Very happy with that. Started a bit dodgily, then we were the better team after taking the lead against the run of play. Good performances from Eriksen and Adebayor in particular, though the latter had some off moments and the former went out of the game when he was moved out left late on. I wasn't sure about Sherwood's decision to push Walker up and stick Naughton at right-back, but it worked very, very well. Fair play to him for that one. Didn't think that the Sigurdsson switch was as effective, but he's got limited options out there right now. Townsend's return might have seen a different switch. Level on points with Liverpool now, though our goal difference is far, far worse. Dropped points from Everton and Man Utd might be useful for the rest of the weekend's games. City up next. Big test.
Great win for you lads. Bet your all pissed off Sherwood wasn't manager from the start, otherwise you'd be nailed on for top 4!
Great win. With the early 20 minute spell aside, we pissed it - that's no disrespect to Swansea but bar a few long shots they rarely troubled us, to win like we did at the Liberty is very encouraging and pleasing. Adebayor and Eriksen the stand out performers. Bentaleb, Walker and Chiriches also well up there but the team as a whole played well. You can all thank me and Roo now for pointing out to Spurs that Eriksen would be a super player for us . Well done Tim Sherwood too, nothing better than seeing an English former player turned coach-turned manager do well. We're now level on points with a team who've been classed as title challengers this season and thumped us 5-0 at home. Steadily going about climbing the table under the Sherwood revolution.
It's good for Sherwoodie that he's unbeaten. It'll keep the pressure on him and the players not to lose. I'd take a draw against £ity right now.
Cheers, VG. I think that your club need to be patient with Laudrup and give him a chances to sort things out. European football can take a real toll on a side, especially if they're not used to it. How long did it take Man City to do well in both the league and European competition, despite their enormous wealth? It's a learning experience. Nice to see that you're still trying to play football the right way and not resorting to hoofball, despite a poor run recently. Maybe one or two loan signings in this window could help you to restore some confidence to the side, especially with your injury problems?
