I actually thought that Gardner proved to be an effective sub yesterday. Even if he lacks passing quality, he buzzed around (like JC) and often gets in attacking positions. Plus, for me, he has a really good shooting technique. However, I can't see him performing a similar role from the start of games, but I'd keep him on the bench if we can't get any money for him this month. He might just get a couple of crucial goals later in the season.

Thought that his booking was his only worthy contribution as man was away, no touch, can,t pass, can,t shoot

I thought Colback was class. Like a little tenacious, ginger lakeland terrier, snapping at everything.

Bringing Jack on turned the game, others get the glory but Jack's midfield performance turned the tide of the game

Fulham didn't play with a high intensity, that's when Catts is at his best and he is brilliant at closing down players, making interceptions etc.

He's not great when teams press him, like I said Villa and Southampton are prime examples

Have to say like, I thought Southampton played really well.
My friend is a season card holder & she reckons they were the best oppo she's seen all season.
